EXO Chen Updates YouTube Channel After a While + EXO-Ls Rejoice Online

EXO-Ls were surprised on the 24th after EXO's Chen made an update on his official YouTube channel after six months!

Indeed, Chen has been missed by his avid fans that his latest cover video on his ChenTube has already reached over 856k views and 341k likes just several hours after its release.

After this update, Chen's YouTube channel gained over 80k subscribers (it now has 1.62 million subscribers). He sang "Breath" by Park Hyo Shin soulfully that he evoked emotions and even tears to his fans. Instantly, "JONGDAE" (Chen's real name) and "CHEN" soared to the top spots of the worldwide trending list on Twitter.

"Thank you for being brave and strong. Thank you for singing for us again. Thank you for everything. We'll always be here for you, just like you were for us. We love you, Jongdae," tweeted one fan.

"Chennie chennie chen. [You'll] always be our one brave, humble man. Thank you for your music," another EXO-L wrote.

"Always love you, Chen. We are one EXO. We [will] always love you, Chen. Keep [smiling]," said one netizen.

In January, Chen set the social media in a frenzy and received massive hate after he announced that he is marrying his non-celebrity girlfriend and is expecting a child. While a lot fully embraced this news, a group of fans in South Korea (EXO-L Ace Alliance) expressed their dismay and rage that they even protested in front of SM Entertainment's building, calling for the expulsion of the idol from EXO.

It even came to the point that some antis sent back boxes full of destroyed Chen's merchandise (albums, posters, photo cards, etc.) to the SM Entertainment office, but were rejected by the courier service. They also attempted to donate to a youth sex center with the motive of shading the singer for "pre-marital" pregnancy, only to be rejected once again as the club's goal doesn't coincide with the organization's purpose.

One of the alliance's moves that earned uproar from the internet realm was when they protested through a bus that roamed around Chen's hometown, Siheung, which carried a large text "There is no EXO's Chen." However, this was discontinued after finding out that it had no prior consultation to Siheung City Hall.

Nonetheless, EXO-Ls who sincerely appreciate Chen have been expressing their undying love and support for his endeavors and personal choices in life.

In May of this year, SM Entertainment confirmed that Chen's wife gave birth to a bouncing baby girl, which thrilled his fans.
