Singer-songwriter, writer, and entrepreneur Jay Park is in discussions to appear on the Chinese survival show, "Rap of China."

Recently, one of the largest content companies in China, iQiyi, announced that it will be airing another season of rap survival show, and are aiming to start airing by the fourth quarter of the year. The show will have Wu Yifan, also known as Kris and is a former member of EXO, alongside Taiwanese rapper Will Pan, and Chinese hip-hop rapper GAI.

In response to the news, Jay Park's agency AOMG told ExSports News that Jay Park is positively discussing his appearance on the "Rap of China," but nothing has been confirmed.

"Rap of China" has been called the Chinese version of Korea's "Show Me The Money," and has boosted the hip-hop craze in China. This upcoming will mark the show's fourth season. Along with Wu Yifan, Will Pan, and GAI, Jay Park is expected to take on the role of mentor and judge. Previously, Jay Park has appeared on Mnet's "Show Me The Money" as a producer and judge.

Since his debut in 2008, Park has established the hip-hop label AOMG, which has received love and praise for housing artists who are popular in rap and R&B. They are the nation's centerpiece in terms of hip-hop and house many notable rappers, including Simon Dominic and Loco,

In 2017, Jay Park won an award at the 2017 Korean Popular Music Award for Best R&B and Soul Album. He has been praised as an artist who can encompass both hip-hop and R&B at a high-class level.

This is one of the few times Korean artists have been able to cross over to Chinese media despite not being Chinese. In May, BIGBANG's G-Dragon was selected as a model for the Chinese bottled water brand Nongfu Spring Co., and he will be the first Korean star to model for a Chinese brand since THAAD. BLACKPINK's Lisa also appeared on the Chinese survival show "Youth With You," also under iQiyi, as the show's dance mentor.

It appears that the law banning anything related to the Hallyu wave is slowly disappearing.
