BTS's V Once Revealed One of The Creepiest Things Sasaengs Have Done to Them
Though sasaengs consider themselves fans of celebrities, numerous people disagree. Sasaengs are actually people who are obsessed with a public figure, to the point where they breach said figure's privacy at a chance of being noticed. Numerous celebrities have experiences with these types of people. BTS's V has revealed the lengths some of them take during a live broadcast back in 2019.
In said broadcast, he spoke for the group and their experiences. He revealed that whenever BTS has a flight, whether it be a long or short distance, sasaengs would always find out where they sit in advance. One of the infamous ways people do this is by purchasing flight information.
What do they do with the flight information? Some would just show up at the time of the flights and take photos. However, others go to the next level and purchase seats on the same flight to be around their idols. This has been done so often to BTS, and V has revealed that the members have felt uncomfortable because of it.
He said, '"I'm speaking for all of us. We fly private planes, but now but honestly, we would love to fly with commercial airlines. However, whenever we do, whether it be a short distance of long-distance, people always find out where we will sit on the plan in advance. So, they would often sit in front of us or right next to us, and it's made us a little uncomfortable. Well, honestly, I wish they would stop doing this. It scares me. Really."
Netizens and fans alike have expressed disgust over these so-called fans' actions, saying that it must have been scary for the boys to experience. Some call out Big Hit Entertainment, their company, and demand that they figure out who is responsible for selling the group's flight information. Also, fans are hoping that Big Hit will immediately take legal action against these people.
This is not the first time though that BTS had bad experiences with sasaengs. Members have had their numbers leaked, which has resulted in numerous phone calls, even as the members try to use their phones for live streams.
When the members were in Sweden, the members were filming a reality show and had stopped at a cafe to relax. Sasaengs had been stalking the boys at the time and were waiting outside for the boys to come one. When the cameraman had asked them to leave, they started chasing after the members.
Hopefully, Big Hit Entertainment finds these sasaengs and pursues the appropriate actions.
On the other hand, BTS debuted under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013 and became known for co-writing and producing most of their material. They touched their audience's hearts with their inspirational lyrics and songs.
