An unfortunate news came in today. 2AM's Im Seulong got involved in an accident.

On August 4, police revealed that Seulong met with a car accident in the wee hours of August 1. Seoul Seobu Police Station said that the K-pop idol was driving his SUV on the highway Eunpyeong, Seoul at around 11:50 p.m. KST while it was rainig when he hit a man crossing the road even though the pedestrian's light turned red.

Unfortunately, the mentioned person died shortly after he was taken to the hospital due to his injuries.

Investigators of the Seoul Seobu Police Station stated that they are now looking into the said incident. "We are now thoroughly investigating the accident. It is real that the person hit died after  Im Seulong's car while struck him while jaywalking. But, we are still probing further facts of the incident to tell whether Im Seulong did violations on the Road Traffic Acts," one police investigator stated.

According to news reports, Seulong was under queries from the police instantly on the aftermath of the accident. Thus, he will be called further in the coming days for additional needed information about what happened. "Im Seulong was not under the influence of liquor while driving, however we are looking into other angles, like speeding. Thus, it is hard for us to give further details as the process of investigation is currently ongoing. We hope you understand that we could not reveal other details of the incident," the Seoul Seobu Police said.

"Hello. This is Jellyfish Entertainment.

This is our statement with regards to Im Seulong car accident.

First, may the victim of the fatal car accident rest in peace, and we are sending our sincere condolences to the bereaved family.

On the 1st of August, Im Seulong was on the road driving his SUV when the unfortunate event in the rain occurred. While maneuvering his car, he clashed with a walker who was then traversing the road. Shortly after, Im Seulong right away took emergency measures, however, the victim unluckily died while he was being rushed to the nearest hospital.

Furthermore, Im Seulong attended the queries of police as part of the protocol and went home afterwards; still he is under the state of distress.

Please give us your understanding that details will not be disclosed regarding the accident police investigation results is yet to be revealed.

Thus, we recognize tremendous pain the victim's family members are currently experiencing at the moment, and we are truly asking for our forgiveness to them.

Once again, we are praying for the victim to rest in peace, again our genuine condolences to his family.
