Alexander revealed on "JAYKEEOUT X VWVB" that he was forced out of U-KISS in 2011 when his company told him that they wanted to swap out members, as they were looking for more talent and more Korean members. The agency had asked Alexander if he wanted to join their overseas group instead, but he knew that they were just trying to kick him out off the group. They even tried to lower his self-esteem to get him to agree to leave, saying that he's not popular in Korea.

In the end, he terminated his contract with the help of his aunt, who told the CEO to let him leave if he though Alexander didn't help the group. The agency said the reason he left the group was to "focus on his studies", but we all know now that isn't true.
