Nigerian singer Lyta is under fire with K-Pop fans around the world following the release of his newly released music video for "Hold Me Down". After watching the music video, it appears the majority of the scenes are nearly identical to GOT7's "Just Right" music video, which was released in 2016.

Lyta's music video for "Hold Me Down" was released on August 14, Friday. Fans immediately noticed the striking similarities of that with "Just Right". To start, both music videos show a girl in a colorful bedroom, facing their vanity table. The camera even pans in the same upwards direction. The only major difference is the girl in the "Hold Me Down" music video is applying lipstick, while the girl in the "Just Right" music video is using a cleansing brush.

In both music videos, the vanity drawer suddenly stars shaking, and we can see the girl's peek into the drawer through a small gap. In both music videos, the girls open the drawer to see why it's shaking. In the "Hold Me Down" music video, we see Lyta sitting on a makeup cushion while singing. It's identical to "Just Right", as Jackson is seen sitting on a makeup cushion and rapping when the girl opens the drawers.

In one scene of "Hold Me Down", Lyta is seen in a table across the room, singing in front of a cereal box with a milk carton in the background. The girl approaches the table and lifts the cereal box, only for more tiny dancers to appear. In GOT7's "Just Right" music video, Younjae is seen singing in front of a cereal box with a milk carton also in the background. When the cereal box gets lifted, the other GOT7 members appear and dance to the chorus of the song.

There are more similar scenes. One shows Lyta dancing in a bowl of M&M-style candy, which bears an uncanny resemblance to Bambam's scene in the music video, where he is also singing while surrounded with M&Ms (or B&Bs, as the candy's have Bs in them on the video!)

Another scene shows Lyta riding a toy Zebra with him reaching out to the female lead with his pointer finger. The same scene happens in the "Just Right" music video; Yugyeom is seen extending his pointer finger to the girl, reaching out to her.

The music videos are near identical, which has prompted fans to speak up for GOT7. Fans have since taken to Twitter to call out Lyta for the blatant plagiarism and have even stated that hashtag #ApologizeLyta, urging the Nigerian singer to address the controversy. Some have started mass emailing JYP Entertainment, GOT7's agency, to take matters into their own hands.

Fans have also noted how one scene is reminiscent of BTS's music video for "Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)". In Lyta's music video, he is seen outside what appears to be a movie theatre, dancing, and singing while wearing all-pink. This is almost identical to BTS's opening scene for "Boy With Luv".

Lyta has not addressed the backlash, though he is seen actively promoting the song on his social media accounts. As of now, it is unknown if Lyta or his management are responsible for copying GOT7's music video.
