SHINee World, the fandom of the K-pop group SHINee, is extremely mad and is calling out J-Pop Group G-EGG and its producer after allegedly plagiarizing the K-idols' song "Our Page" music video.

G-EGG is a "global idol development project" comprising 10 Japanese and 10 Korean members divided into four sub-units. In April 2020, Team C of the project, which consists of Hyeonsu, Heedo, Gen, Toy, and Shohei, debuted with their song, "I Don't Care." The global project aims to have an impact both in Korea and Japan, launched by SUPERNOVA's leader Yoonhak.

After four months before their debut and song release, SHINee World, or prominently known as Shawols, recognized that G-EGG's Team C "I don't care" MV and the K-pop group's song "Our Page" MV have remarkable similarities.

Starting from G-EGG's "I don't Care," the music video started with members standing and performing on a glossy cuboid platform. The vibe of the video is dreamy, with fluorescent bulbs surrounding them arranged with black stands. In addition to this, the members are wearing pastel-color suits, particularly in the shade of blue, purple, and pink.

Meanwhile, SHINee's "Our Page" MV started showing the K-pop idols doing their individual activities. However, after their tiring day, the key point of the MV began when the members started gathering together as a team and started singing on an elevated cuboid platform. Just like G-EGG's music video, the surrounding was full of fluorescent aqua pearl green bulbs, the fandom's official color. However, the lighting is shifting in various pastel colors, which is similar to the J-Pop's group music video.

Also, SHINee members are all wearing pastel-color suits, resembling G-EGG's outfit in "I don't care." The similarities are indeed uncanny, but since "Our Page," is released in 2018, two years prior to the Japanese group's debut, it made SHINee's MV the original.

After finding out the similarities, Shawols' claims that it is indeed plagiarism and demanded an explanation from the producer and MV director of G-EGG's "I don't care" through various social media sites.

What makes the whole fandom frustrated and disappointed is that "Our Page" is written by members Onew, Key, Taemin, and Minho, a tribute for their late member Jonghyun who became the "angel" of the whole fandom after its passing on December 2017.

Thus, the song is exceptional, intimate, and personal for SHINee World and SHINee, which contained the words and emotions that they can only express through music. In the MV, SHINee also placed a mic stand at the center, which is for Jonghyun.

"Our Page" or also known as "The Words You Left Behind," reflects the group's message that they will remain as five and together until the end.

It also includes the lyrics, "May 25, 2008, boys shining brightly, like green waves of spring; that time will spread and flow forever," which is the day that the group debuted as SHINee.

Aside from the K-pop group's fandom, Stacy Nam, a well-known K-pop correspondent which already met and interviewed SHINee for several times, called the director or producer of the MV who allegedly plagiarized SHINee, "disrespectful" and "disgusting."

Currently, Y-NA Entertainment, G-EGG's agency, and SM Entertainment, SHINee's label, are yet to release their official stand for these accusations.
