For fans who want to get introduced to the K-HipHop scene, here are some of the top k-HipHop artists you should know about to get started. If you love idols rapping, wait till you hear the godfathers of Korean hip-hop. Get ready because this is going to be a thrilling ride.

1. TIGER JK

Knowing unanimously as the legendary godfather of Korean HipHop, Tiger JK, also known as Drunken Tiger, is the pioneer of furthering the K-Hip-hop agenda in Korea. He is also the founder of Feel Good Music, which is home to many amazing artists to date. He is currently a member of the hiphop trio MFBTY along with his wife Yoon Mi Rae and best friend, rapper Bizzy. The Los Angeles Times referred to him in 2011 as "perhaps the most popular Korean rapper in America, Asia, and the world." Tiger Jk has also featured and collaborated with Kim Namjoon or RM of BTS, to whom he is an ultimate inspiration.

2. DYNAMIC DUO

Dynamic Duo is a South Korean hip hop duo that consists of rappers Choiza and Gaeko. They rose to fame with their 2004 debut album, Taxi Driver, which became the best-selling Korean hip hop album ever. They are signed to Amoeba Culture, a hip hop record label that they founded in 2006. Choiza and Gaeko are childhood best friends, which only adds to their fantastic flow.

3. YOON MIRAE

Yoon Mi-rae is an American-born South Korean rapper and singer who is currently a member of Korean hip hop trio MFBTY. She is also the wife of Tiger JK. Besides these, Yoon Mirae is perhaps the strongest and most popular female rappers in the industry, making a name for herself almost as soon as she started out in the scene in 1995. A couple of years back, she was recognized by MTV Iggy's Beverly Bryan as one of The 12 Best New Female Emcees Dominating Mics Everywhere.

4. BewhY

BewhY was the winner of Show Me The Money 5 in 2016, and his skill has been acknowledged by legendary mainstream rappers such as Simon D. He is known for being a devout Christian, which he expresses through unabashed confessions of faith in his songs. BewhY's flow is unmatched and his lyrics always hold a deeper meaning to them. On top of that, his stage presence is incredible, and his charisma just as good. At a press conference with the winning team of Show Me the Money on July 19, BewhY said he didn't necessarily intend to write religious music, but that the religious expressions came out as he simply tried to express himself in his music.

5. EPIK HIGH

The inspiration behind innumerable K-Pop idols, Epik High still stands strong as one of the strongest rap acts to come out of South Korea. Epik High is composed of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz. They are known for having combined diverse genres and different styles of hip hop throughout their career, which has seen the release of eleven studio albums since their debut in 2003. Their lyrics are always unique and innovative. Covering multiple themes and varieties. All this has led to incredible international acclaim as well as praise from their own country.
