Weeekly Reveals Plans For First-Ever Comeback

WEEEKLY (formerly known as PlayM Girls and FAVE Girls) is a seven-member girl group under PlayM Entertainment consisting of Soojin (leader, main dancer) Jiyoon (lead vocalist and lead dancer), Monday (main vocalist, rapper), Soeun(main dancer, lead vocalist), Jaehee(lead rapper, vocalist), Jihan (lead vocalist, lead dancer, visual), and Zoa (vocalist, visual, maknae). Lee Soojin, Shin Jiyoon, Park Soeun, and pre-debut member Park Haelin were contestants on the survival show MIXNINE. They are also the first group to debut under Play M Entertainment since Apink and thus is Apink is their role model. Lee Soojin, Shin Jiyoon, and Park Soeun are the only remaining members from the group's original pre-debut lineup.

On May 7, 2020, Play M confirmed PlayM GIRLS would be making their debut sometime in June. On May 11, the group's debuting name Weeekly and its members were revealed. On June 11, a teaser scheduler revealed the release of the group's first mini album, We Are, was set for June 30. On June 16, a concept trailer for the album was released.

On June 30, the group officially debuted with the mini-album We Are and its title track "Tag Me (@Me)." This album recorded the largest number of sales by a new girl group in 2020.

On August 20, an official poll on the group's Daum Cafe revealed the group's official fandom name to be "Dailee," which means "without Dailee (Daily), Weeekly cannot exist." The official announcement was made three days later on August 23.

On September 8, 2020, a source from Play M Entertainment revealed on Joy News 24 that, "Weeekly is preparing an album with the goal of an October comeback." This will be their first comeback in four months since their debut in June. Fans are highly anticipating this comeback, and we wish Weeekly all the best for their endeavors!
