BTS Jimin's Lookalike and Kim Kardashian's Lookalike Join Forces for New K-Pop MV
British K-pop star Oli London, who is best known for spending $150,000 on plastic surgery to look like Jimin of BTS, has teamed up with an almost identical Kim Kardashian lookalike for his new K-Pop music video, "Troubled B*tch."
The controversial star, the first non-Korean solo artist in Europe, has been a divisive figure in the K-Pop scene since 2018. Appearing on numerous international TV shows, including Dr. Phil, Botched, and Today Show Australia, he has attracted huge attention from both adoring fans and millions of "haters."
After appearing on more than 20 shows in 5 different countries and sharing his love of BTS on his social media, Oli has become a polarizing figure who has been accused of cultural appropriation for making K-Pop music and for wanting to look Korean, even though he is a white British man.
However, Oli has previously rubbished claims that he is a cultural appropriator by saying in an interview with Daily Mail earlier this year, "I am not changing my race, I have a deep respect for Korean culture. It is a cultural appreciation, not a cultural appropriation. I am very respectful of Korean culture."
His new music video features the strikingly identical to Kim Kardashian, Chaly DN, who has amassed a following of nearly 750,000 on Instagram, thanks to her Kardashian looks and features, colorful and fun locations, including the famous Selfie Factory London, which is considered the most Instagrammable place in the UK, as well as K-Pop-inspired cafe Busi Cafe.
The glamorous Jimin and Kim lookalikes parade around throwing money in the air in a bank vault, underground train, and bath, and dance together while singing, "Im just a troubled b**ch, troubled b**ch like me I'm like a hurricane destructions where I lead."
The single, which has already attracted both praises and criticisms on YouTube, charted at No. 36 on the iTunes K-Pop Chart on the first day of its release. To date, Oli's music videos have received nearly 6 million views and include two top 10 hits and three top 40s on the aforementioned chart.
Oli is set to appear on a BBC series later this year, where he undergoes a shocking eye surgery procedure so he can look more like his idol Jimin, and will also guest star in several other UK TV shows later this year.
