Top-Tier P-pop Group 1ST.ONE Reveals Thoughts About Career, Passion, Schedules, Message to Fans, and More
Less than two months since top-tier P-pop band 1ST.ONE debuted with their song, "You are the One (Ttak Maja Nuh,)" the stellar idols are continuously building their popularity and earning recognitions from local and international fans, as well as the media.
These include being featured on various TV broadcasts and music shows as well as surpassing 700,000 views and 400,000 views for their title track's MV and Drama Ver, respectively. Furthermore, 1ST.ONE also gained its first 100,000 YouTube subscribers in just three weeks after debut, not to mention their overwhelming followers in their official social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram-capturing the attention of wide-ranged music fans.
The six-membered group comprises of ACE, Alpha, J, Jayson, Joker, and Max indeed had an outstanding growth as performers and truly the Pride of Filipinos, being the first-ever artists to perform on one of South Korea's largest award shows, "Seoul Music Awards," in line with top-notch K-pop groups: NCT, Red Velvet, TXT, MONSTA X, TWICE and more.
As they take on other challenges, milestones, upcoming activities that are waiting for them, Kpopstarz had an exclusive written interview with 1ST.ONE, revealing their thoughts and emotions about their blossoming career, love and passion for music, future expectations and anticipations, as well as conveying their inner feelings to fans and supporters.
Question: How do you feel after debuting as a P-pop idol/band? Are there any changes or scenarios that make you think, "I am really an idol now"?
1ST.ONE: We feel very honored, inspired, and humbled for the success that our supporters and For.One continuously gives us. We just want to continue working harder to show everyone how much we have improved and will continue to improve.
The six-naturally born performers who trained for three years under the Korean management system also affirmed their fans and supporters that they will remain as students of their arts and craft.
Question: About your newly-released first debut song, "You are The One (ttak Maja Nuh)," can you tell us more about the storyline or the concept of its MV as well as the lyrics?
1ST.ONE: We are very lucky, blessed, and humbled to have worked with the song producer and composer who have worked with famous K-pop artists such as BTS, EXO, TWICE, WONDER GIRLS, APINK, and many more. The Philippine lyrics were produced through 1st.One leader ACE's translation and re-writing of the Korean version, together with the other members' Max, Joker, Jayson, J, Alpha, who made their own rap parts as well. All had their own inputs as well in the creation of the final version of the lyrics. As for the lyrics and the concept of this song, it aims to show who 1ST.ONE really is.
Question: Are there any members who are hands-on in writing or composing songs as well as in coming up with the choreography?
1ST.ONE: Yes. Actually, as mentioned earlier the lyrics for "You are The One" were translated and written by 1ST.ONE: leader ACE and the rap parts after translation were all written by the rappers.
The P-pop band also revealed that each of the members took part in writing and finalizing their title track, proving how versatile and talented the members are.
In particular, the dance was choreographed by Ryu.D leader of AUSPICIOUS Dance crew Korea who has worked with a lot of the K-pop idol groups that the group was fond of such as BTS, NCT, PENTAGON, EXO, and many more.
Questions: 1ST.ONE is one of the hottest P-Pop bands in the Philippines right now. Can you give us some hints or sneak peek at your plans for the rest of 2020?
1ST.ONE: A lot more surprises are in store for everyone. We are ALL-IN, ALL HEART, and SOUL invested in our passion and craft in order to achieve all our dreams and to inspire people while we're at it.
And we are so thankful that our FOR.ONE, our Company and Of course God continue to bless us with the support, love, and strength we need to put out our 1,000% more music, more singing, more rapping, more dancing and you will get to know more of Who 1stOne really is for the rest of 2020 all for the Glory of God at the center of all our actions and to inspire other dreamers and all our supporters out there to fight on in life.
Meanwhile, when asked what concepts and image is set to be unveiled to fans, the members answered that they genuinely want to show a concept just being them; a group with fiery hearts and dreams. Just like lions and dragons, 1ST.ONE conveyed their desire to show how they bravely fought and pursued their dreams of success.
Amidst the pandemic, the group debuted and strived hard, but despite popularity, they undoubtedly experienced uncertainties and hardships but through working as a FAMILY and having God as the center of everything, 1ST.ONE was able to overcome everything.

Question: Which member has the best chances to fall in love with a fan?
"Uhm... it's S.E.C.R.E.T (laughs) who do you think it is? Maybe the fans should create a fan poll and we'll tell you guys if you got it correct."
Question: If a time machine can take you anywhere for a day, where would you go and why?
In a time where we can have enough time to give enough love and thanks to all our supporters For.One and our families including our parents and everyone who continues to support us. Time and our efforts will be endless in order to return all the support and love you continue to give us.
