Fans Bring Back Super Junior’s Bet Where Ryeowook Has to Marry Someone in 3 Years Following Dating Confirmation
Following Super Juniors' Ryeowook dating confirmation, fans and netizens brought back the mischievous bet that the members of the iconic group did a year ago, wherein the winner should get married in three years. Amazingly, Ryeowook was hailed as the winner who should fulfill the bet!
A year later then, particularly on Tuesday, SJ Label and Super Junior's Ryeowook confirmed that he's happily dating ex-TAHITI member Ari!
According to the label, "As a result of both sides' confirmation, Ryeowook and Ari have been close seniors and juniors and have developed into a relationship."
The two idols admitted their relationship, following dating rumors that circulated in various online communities. Shortly after, Ryeowook confirmed that he's seeing Ari in a romantic way, and expressed his inner thoughts and feelings to ELFs (fandom of Super Junior) through the SM Entertainment fan community app, Lysn.

Meanwhile, as fans express their congratulatory messages to the newly-announced couple, several fans on social media platforms reminisce about the time where Super Junior talked about marriage, and their funny game suddenly made sense.
In October 2019, the second-gen K-pop group appeared on SBS's "My Ugly Duckling," (also known as Mom's Diary/My Little Old Boy) and talked about various things including their past and future lives.
As the group naturally showed their perfect entertainment show personalities, Leeteuk suddenly opened the topic about marriage. Leeteuk shared that normal people normally live their life until 100 years old, thus if a person will marry in their 20s, they have 80 years to spend it with their loved ones.
Shindong then thinks about their age, which is supposed to be on the marrying stage, and asks if they will be able to see their grandchildren if they will be having their marriage later than usual. Kyuhyun then commented that he will then live for 150 years.
As the group members are having fun talking about wedding relationships, they ended up suggesting to play "rock-paper-scissors" to determine who's going to get married first among them.
Yesung then suggested that whoever loses the game will have to get married, but Heechul demanded that since marriage is a sacred thing, the winner should do the honor.
Shindong also commented, "What if the winner really gets married first? That would be awesome," and later suggested that the winner should become a husband within three years, or else he will be unlucky for three years, according to Leeteuk who also added fuel to the bet.
In the end, they agreed with paying 1 million won to each member if they won't fulfill that promise, and Yesung being thoughtful, he suggested that if the winner is not yet wedded till then, every member will have to introduce a girl to him.
The game was immediately cut down into two remaining players including Ryewook and Dong Hae, at the end of the game, Ryewook was determined as the winner who had to get married after three years! The members just laugh about it and continue with their shoot.
