MOMOLAND's Agency Ready to Launch a Boy Group in December With NHN and Sony Music

MLD Entertainment, NHN, and Sony Music are joining hands to launch a brand new boy group. MLD Entertainment announced on October 13: "We are preparing a new boy group with the aim of making a year-end debut in collaboration with NHN and Sony Music."

They then introduced, "The Boy Group, which is currently preparing for a debut, is an ultra-high-end project planned to debut not only in Korea but also in the United States and Japan."

NHN Corp. is a Korean IT company that started its business as a game company called Hangame in 1999. Currently, its main businesses can be categorized as Cloud, Fin-Tech, Entertainment, and Advertisement. NHN has been focusing on Cloud service since 2014. On 1 August 2013, NHN was re-split into NHN Entertainment Corporation and Naver Corporation for strategic reasons. On 1 April 2019, the company name was changed to NHN again. Today it is referred to as a global IT company.

Sony Music Entertainment is a global company with branches/corporations in more than 60 countries worldwide and is one of the world's top three record companies.

MLD, the agency of the girl group Momoland, signed an agreement with NHN to expand global entertainment business, concerts, and next-generation platform business, and attained a total of 5 billion won worth of investment.

Also, it signed a business partner agreement with the three global agencies in the United States, ICM Partners. The official said, "The group that the three companies met and prepared ambitiously received intensive training in a systematic system, and not only visuals, but also vocals, and rap. It was composed of top elite members with various talents such as performance, production, and language conversation skills."
