BTOB Announces New Sub-Unit + Reveals Name and Logo

BTOB revealed that they have formed a new sub-unit!
On October 27, the four BTOB members, namely Minhyuk, Peniel, Changsub, and Eunkwang, announced through a video that the name of their new sub-unit has finally been decided. Eunkwang stated that the members chose the sub-unit name after investing a lot of time thinking about it, getting plenty of ideas, and conducting a meeting. He then unveiled that they agreed on going by the name 'BTOB 4U'.
BTOB's Minhyuk detailed that the word '4U' means that the members are 'for you' and the number 4 also refers to the four members of the sub-unit. Eunkwang added, "BTOB 4U's activities will begin soon, so please anticipate it and show us a lot of love!"
In addition to the video announcement, BTOB posted the unit's official logo on their official SNS on October 28 at midnight KST.
BTOB 4U is the second sub-unit of the K-Pop boy group after four years since BTOB's first sub-unit called BTOB Blue in September 2016. It is composed of four members as well, particularly Eunkwang, Sungjae, Hyunsik, and Changsub, which are the vocalists of the band. BTOB Blue launched their first digital single titled "Stand By Me on September 19 of that same year.
After almost two years, the sub-unit released another digital track called "When It Rains on August 2, 2018. It is a self-composed song by Hyunsik.
In other news, BTOB members Minhyuk, Changsub, and Eunkwang were discharged this year from the military. Eunkwang was the first member to complete his service on April 7, followed by Changsub sometime in July, and Minhyuk was on September 12. Peniel, on the other hand, is not required to enlist in the military as he is an American. Meanwhile, other BTOB members, specifically Sungjae and Hyunsik started their military service on May 11, while Ilhoon enlisted on May 28.
But ahead of the members' enlistment, all seven members of BTOB launched solo digital singles in 2017 as part of the project called 'Piece of BtoB'. It started with Changsub releasing his self-composed ballad song entitled "At the End, which is included in his solo album "bpm 82.5. It was followed by Ilhoon's "Fancy Shoes, Peniel's "That Girl, Hyunsik's self-produced single "Swimming, and Minhyuk's "Purple Rain, which features singer Cheeze. Then, the next one is Sungjae's "Tell Me and "Paradise, and last is Eunkwang's "One Day and "Back Then.
On September 20 of the same year, BTOB earned this first Bonsang at the first Soribada Best K-Music Awards. Then on October 16, the septet released their second studio album "Brother Act with the title track "Missing You, which was penned by Hyunsik, Minhyuk, Peniel, and Ilhoon. BTOB then held concerts in Korea from December 23 to February 24.
In June 2018, The K-Pop boy group launched their eleventh mini-album "This Is Us. Then they held another set of concerts from August 10 to October 14. BTOB's latest release is their special album called "Hour Moment, which includes the track "Beautiful Pain.
