A Chinese Netizen Rebuts Assertions Made By EXO Chanyeol's Alleged Ex-Girlfriend
The netizen pointed out what makes the allegations false.
On October 29, someone who claims to be an ex-girlfriend of EXO Chanyeol posted photos of her and the idol on an online community, along with a long letter. The girl's identity remains a mystery as she is shaded with black in the photos, revealing only Chanyeol.
In the letter, she said that she dated the EXO member for almost three years. But before they could have celebrated their third anniversary together, she found out a shocking truth about him. She accused Chanyeol of cheating on her, having an affair with more than 10 other people during those three years. The girl mentioned that the male artist played around 'dirtily' with various girl group members, dancers, YouTubers, DJs, flight attendants, and more.
Following this, a Chinese netizen that goes by the name 扒圈老鬼 shared a few aspects on Weibo that will disprove the allegations made against EXO Chanyeol. The netizen demonstrated layering the photograph uploaded by the alleged ex-girlfriend with another solo picture of Chanyeol holding a microphone in a studio. With this, the netizen showed that even though the mic he was holding had been digitally modified and replaced with a bouquet, Chanyeol's facial expression and angle are similar.
What's more, the Chinese netizen showed four key points to disprove the allegations of the alleged ex-girlfriend's post. The first one is the logo on EXO Chanyeol's beanie. While the words on the cake can be directly read 'dating for 790 days,' the logo on his beanie is mirrored. To prove this, the netizen shared a fan-taken photo of the rapper wearing a beanie, showing the logo's right angle.
The second detail is that there were no tattoos on EXO Chanyeol's arm in the pictures uploaded by the alleged ex-girlfriend. The idol is known to have important and meaningful tattoos on a few parts of his body. One of them is on his right forearm and it is a silhouette of a monkey, which is not present in the shots. To show the difference, the Chinese netizen posted a pic of him in his house wearing the same black t-shirt and with his monkey tattoo shown. The rapper got that tattoo back in early 2018.
The third aspect is that the original posts have already been deleted. While the post has been re-uploaded onto different community sites, the initial ones on Yeogael and Pann are nowhere to be found. Because of this, netizens believe that the accuser is already feeling guilt and fear.
The last thing the Chinese netizen pointed out is that one of the pictures posted by the alleged ex-girlfriend is suspicious in a way that EXO Chanyeol is unlikely to hold the girl's neck as he kisses her forehead. Hence, the netizen suggests that it could be a guitar.
Furthermore, fans believe that the proofs shown by the accuser seem to be privately-captured photos. And so, EXO-Ls suspect that the artist's phone or private accounts could have been hacked. In addition, one fan posted that the accuser is actually a man who is an anti-EXO fan and has been posting hate comments about them.
In response to the assertions made against EXO Chanyeol, the idol's agency SM Entertainment stated, "We have no official statement regarding the post." Meanwhile, the rapper has yet to speak up.
