Korean Netizens Disappointed With Aespa Karina's Dance Skills
Aespa member Karina, also known as Yoo Jimin, is getting flack for her dance skills following the member teaser SM Entertainment posted November 1, Sunday. Read more about it here.
On November 1, Sunday, SM Entertainment dropped the video teaser titled 'SYNK' to introduce the four members of Aespa. In the video, Karina is the first member to be revealed. She is seen in an all-blue outfit that matched her dark blue hair and the dark blue setting she is in.
The camera continues to shoot her visuals, as well as showcases her dance skills. Karina was introduced to fans as an all-rounder in rap, singing, and dance. Since she already has pre-debut appearances as a dancer, many are speculating that she will debut as Aespa's main dancer.
However, Korean netizens have since voiced out their disappointment in her dance skills and believe she does not have skills refined enough to be considered the main dancer. Some people are saying that she is just not good at dancing, while other comments that she does not know how to use her body properly.

Karina has been at the center of netizen's criticism ever since she was revealed to be an SM Entertainment trainee. Prior to her being announced as a member of Aespa, she received backlash after a supposed friend leaked text messages that were allegedly exchanged between her and Karina. In the messages, Karina is seen insulting labelmates EXO and NCT, as well as BTS. It was also rumored that she called Kai ugly as they filmed a Hyundai promotional video together.

When it was revealed that she would be debuting with Aespa, netizens were furious and accused SM Entertainment of admitting to the rumors by changing her stage name.

However, Karina's old schoolmates and best friends have since made a lengthy statement in which they refuted all the rumors with facts. They claimed that the text messages are fabricated to make Karina look bad and that all statements made against Karina were from acquaintances who were never even close with her.
