To start, you will need:

  • 2g of Kojic Acid
  • 2g of Distilled Water
  • 1kg glycerin soap base (melt and pour/MP)
  • 8-10 drops of Papaya FO
  • 0.5g of titanium oxide (TO)
  • 5-10 drops of orange colorant

To start, dissolve the kojic acid in the distilled water. Then, melt the glycerin soap base. After melting, let the base cool.

When the base is melted, add the kojic solution (the kojic acid in distilled water) to the melted base and let the two incorporate. After, add the papaya FO, the titanium oxide, and the orange colorant. Allow moisture to lock in the soap to prevent humidity from ruining the quality of your kojic soap.

If you don't like the orange color, you can also opt for brown or black. The colorant is added as kojic acid tends to give an orange-brown discoloration on the edge of the soap. The colorant is added for aesthetics purely, and you can also choose to disregard colorant altogether if you prefer.

Why should you use Kojic Soap?

Kojic soap can provide a wide array of skin benefits and can help give you bright and glowing skin like a K-pop idol!

First, kojic soap can help get rid of impurities such as dirt, blackheads, and whiteheads in your skin. It changes the pH levels of your skin to be more acidic, which is actually good for you, as impurities is removed when the skin is more acidic. When the impurities are removed, it decreases cellular stress, which causes the skin to look dull, dark, and old. Kojic soap promotes cellular turnover, which makes the skin look healthier and brighter.

Kojic soap can also act as an exfoliator and can remove dead skin. When you exfoliate your skin, it allows your body to be brighter, softer, and healthier.

Kojic soap also allows your skin to be brighter. Kojic acid inhibits the production of melanin, which prevents the skin from becoming darker and prevents pigmentation. As melanin thrives in pigmented areas, kojic acid prohibits the production, which in turn makes your skin more even and less dull. In short, it makes your skin brighter and lighter.

Lastly, kojic soap gives your skin nourishment. Kojic soap and kojic acid have vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E, nutrients that the skin needs. This allows your skin to have a youthful glow, which makes your skin appear lightyears younger and improves the overall skin condition. It makes your skin as flawless as a baby's! On top of that, due to the vitamins kojic acid has, it helps minimize the appearance of blemishes and combats pimples, acne, and breakout.
