Top 10 Most Popular K-Pop Groups for November Announced

On Sunday, Nov. 21, the Korean Brand Research Institute dropped their brand reputation rankings for K-pop idol groups in November. To select who makes the ranking, the Institute looks into a group's participation index, media index, communication index, and community reception index. 10. MAMAMOO

MAMAMOO is a four-member girl group that debuted under RBW in 2014. The group is composed of Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa. They are widely recognized for their retro, jazz, and R&B sound, as well as for their strong vocal performance.

9. Oh My Girl

Oh My Girl is a seven-member girl group that debuted in 2015 under WM Entertainment. The group is composed of Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Jiho, Binnie, and Arin. They originally debuted as eight members, but JinE left the group in 2017 due to health concerns.

SHINee is a five-member boy group that debuted in 2008 under SM Entertainment. The group is composed of Onew, Key, Minho, Taemin, and the late Jonghyun. The group is known as the "Princes of K-Pop" due to their contributions to the Hally Wave spread internationally.

(G)I-DLE is a multinational six-member girl group that debuted in 2018 under CUBE Entertainment. The group is composed of Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The group has members from South Korea, Thailand, China, and Taiwan. (G)I-DLE is known for being very proactive in their creative process, with members Soyeon, Minnie, and Yuqi writing and co-producing their material.

SEVENTEEN is a thirteen-member boy group that debuted in 2016 under PLEDIS Entertainment. The group is composed of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. They are known as the "self-producing" idol group, and all members have actively been involving in the creative process of their work.

IZ*ONE is a twelve-member girl group that debuted in 2018 under Off the Record and Swing Entertainment. The group was formed through the Mnet survival show "Produce 48." IZ*ONE is composed of Kwon Eunbi, Miyawaki Sakura, Kang Hyewon, Choi Yena, Lee Chaeyeon, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minju, Yabuki Nako, Honda Hitomi, Jo Yuri, Ahn Yujin, and Jang Wonyoung.

BLACKPINK is a four-member girl group that debuted in 2016 under YG Entertainment. The group is composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. BLACKPINK is one of the most powerful and influential celebrities in South Korea. They are the first female Korean group on Forbes' "30 Under 30 Asia" list.

NCT is a 23-member boy group under SM Entertainment. NCT is a rotational group that has sub-units within NCT. Members can shift in and out of each sub-unit and can debut in multiple sub-units. NCT is a group with unlimited members. Currently, NCT is composed of Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Taeyong, Ten, Mark, Yuta, Winwin, Haechan, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, Johnny, Jungwoo, Lucas, Kun, Xiaojun, Hendery, Yangyang, Shotaro, Sungchan. There are currently four NCT sub-units, which are NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV.

TWICE is a nine-member girl group that debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment. The group was formed through the Mnet survival show "SIXTEEN." The group comprises Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. Due to their contributions to the Hallyu Wave spread, they are known as the second "Nation's Girl Group."

Because of their and strong influence in South Korea and internationally, they are known as the "Princes of Pop."
