BoA, MONSTA X, and RabidAnce to Perform at 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards

Three Korean acts - BoA, MONSTA X, and RabidAnce - will attend the upcoming 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards and will give the viewers an excellent performance.

The Blue Dragon Film Awards is one of the most popular film awards ceremonies in South Korea. It is being held every year, with Sports Chosun as the organizer. The event aims to recognize only blockbusters and famous movies that were released the previous year. Around 40 films are usually selected and are screened to the public for free before opening the ceremony.

The awards ceremony is known for its outstanding lineup for congratulatory performances. This year, the performing artists are revealed to be solo artist BoA, K-pop boy group MONSTA X, and talent show singers RabidAnce. Ivy and Joo Won, who are cast members in the musical play titled "Ghost" are also said to be making a congratulatory performance.

Past performers of the event include TVXQ, Rain, KARA, Wonder Girls, IU, MAMAMOO, TWICE, and the most recent one is SEVENTEEN. This only means that this will be the first time BoA, MONSTA X, and RabidAnce will put on a stage at the said ceremonial.

Last Nov. 2, MONSTA X released its third studio album "Fatal Love," featuring the lead single "Love Killa." The boy band was revealed as the ambassador for the 19th International Anti-Corruption Conference, which started on Nov. 30 and will conclude on Dec. 5.

BoA has recently returned to the K-Pop scene with her tenth Korean album titled "Better," which was launched on Dec. 1. The album was released to commemorate her twentieth anniversary in the music industry. It features 11 songs including the lead single "Better."

RabidAnce was one of the participants in the music television show "The Phantom Singer 3" that ended last July. The group name is a combination of the English words "rabid" (maniac) and guidance. The members stated that the name means that they will lead the listeners to the world of maniac music.

Meanwhile, this year's Blue Dragon Film Awards will also have safety measures like the other upcoming events in South Korea due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Scheduled to be conducted in Paradise City in Incheon, the annual ceremonial will be "ontact," meaning a live audience will not be allowed. However, a multiscreen will be placed close to the stage so that fans would still be able to cheer on their favorite stars.

Like the previous years, the awards ceremony will have a red carpet event and stages from special guests. The red carpet event will be broadcast live across the globe through the mobile video platform TikTok - this will be done for the very first time in the history of the Blue Dragon Film Awards.

In addition, announcer Park Shin Young and GOT7's Bambam, who are both fluent in different languages such as Korean, Japanese, English, and Thai, are chosen as the MCs for the red carpet event.

The 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards will air through Naver TV and SBS. Yoo Yeon Seok and Kim Hye Soo will be the hosts for the ceremony for the third year in a row.
