More Information Concerning Chungha’s Positive COVID-19 Test Revealed
On Tuesday, Dec. 8, Dispatch released more information concerning Chungha's positive coronavirus (COVID-19) case. Here is the full run-down.
On the evening of Dec. 4, Chungha, Gugudan's Mina, WJSN's Yeonjung, and DIA's Chaeyeon all met up at Mina's house for her birthday. Prior to previous reports, Mina did not have a birthday party and instead had a simple dinner at her home, where the girls ate tteokbokki and pizza.
After the dinner, Chungha and Yeonjung went back to the former's house. There, TWICE member Sana joined the two and hung out in Chungha's home. MOMOLAND also met Chungha after they visited the same salon as her.
After Chungha was confirmed positive for coronavirus, she was in the center of criticism. Many people slammed her for meeting so many people with having the virus. However, Dispatch has gathered information concerning her case and discovered that Chungha was actually initially tested as negative for the virus. Keep on reading here:
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, Chungha visited a sports center for physical therapy on her shoulder. Chungha has been going there consistently due to a shoulder injury. Two days later, Chungha had met with her former I.O.I members for Mina's birthday. After the dinner, Chungha and Yeonjung went to Chungha's house, and Sana met the two there. The three cooked food and hung out until late in the evening.
On Saturday, Dec. 5, Chungha heard that an employee at the sports center she was going to had tested positive for coronavirus. The employee was not the therapist in charge of taking care of Chungha, and she was not in any close contact with her. Despite that, Chungha voluntarily went to get tested along with her manager and head of the agency at 8:30 AM that day. The three of them got tested and paid for the testing with their own money.
On Sunday, Dec. 6, the head of the agency and Chungha's manager received a test message concerning their test results and tested negative. However, Chungha did not receive her results. After making a call to the emergency room, Chungha got her first results twelve minutes later. Through the text messages, she was told she tested negative for the virus.
At midnight on Monday, Dec. 7, Chungha was seen replying to fans on her fan cafe. She replied to a fan asking what she is up to these days, and she replied that she either completes her schedules or stays at home and cooks.
At 9:30 AM on Dec. 7, Chungha received a call from the health authorities. She was then informed that she had tested positive for coronavirus. She was told she tested negative due to a computer error in the emergency room.
After being informed she tested positive, Chungha immediately informed all the people she had come into contact with. Her agency also shared the results of Chungha's testing with the public.
TWICE, WJSN, DIA's Chaeyeon, and Gugudan's Mina all got testing. Thankfully, TWICE, Chaeyeon, and Mina all tested negative for coronavirus. Currently, WJSN's Bona is still waiting for her test results, and the rest of WJSN tested negative. MOMOLAND too got testing for coronavirus after it was revealed they had bumped into Chungha in the same salon. They all tested negative for the virus.
All the people who had come into close contact with Chungha are self-quarantining and following the guidelines set by the health authorities. The others will continue with their schedules.
Chungha shared a handwritten letter to her fancafe after news of her test results became public. She reassured fans that she is alright and will get better. She also apologized for her worrying fans, saying that she thought she was being careful and still got infected.
