BLACKPINK Achieves Another First With 'How You Like That' + Group's YouTube Channel Surpasses 15 Billion Views

BLACKPINK is starting the new year with a bang as the South Korean girl group continues to dominate music charts and reach new milestones. On Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2020, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé announced their latest feat via their official Instagram account.

The "How You Like That" dance performance video of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé surpassed the 500 million views mark recently. In the clip, the BLACKPINK members were seen dancing to the tune of their hit single titled "How You Like That." The girls sported all-black ensembles in the said video.

As of this writing, the "How You Like That" dance performance video has garnered a total of 500,422,210 views. It also amassed more than 8.4 million likes and approximately 430,000 comments. BLACKPINK is the first-ever girl group to reach the 500 million views milestone on a dance video.

If that is not enough, avid followers of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé are also celebrating the fact that the BLACKPINK Official YouTube Channel has collected more than 15 billion views already. The South Korean girl group remains the sixth most viewed female artist channel on the popular American online video-sharing platform.

The BLACKPINK Channel is also the second most viewed channel by a Korean act on YouTube. SMTOWN took the top spot with more than 19.1 billion views. Big Hit label AND JYP Entertainment, then, followed in the third and fourth spots with 13.8 billion and 11.5 billion views, respectively.

The "How You Like That" dance performance video is, actually, the second video by a female artist to hit the 500 million mark in 2020. The first is the official music video of Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé's "How You Like That" track, which already has a total of 724,761,2020 views, 18 million likes, and 3,715,941 comments as of this writing.

In December, BLACKPINK was also named as the No. 2 most-streamed K-Pop Artist globally by Spotify. BTS, composed of Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, V, J-Hope, RM, and Suga, nabbed the top spot. TWICE took the third rank, followed by Stray Kids, Red Velvet, EXO, SEVENTEEN, IU, NCT 127, and (G)I-DLE, respectively.

Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé's "How You Like That," "Ice Cream," "Sour Candy," and "Kill This Love" tracks were also included in the Top 10 most-streamed K-pop songs globally on Spotify. Other tracks that made it to the list include "Dynamite" by BTS, "Boy with Luv" by BTS and Halsey, "Black Swan" by BTS, "On" by BTS, "Psycho" by Red Velvet, and "Wannabe" by ITZY.

"Ice Cream" and "Sour Candy" also entered the Most Streamed K-Pop Collaborations Globally list. Most, if not all, fans are aware that "Ice Cream" was BLACKPINK's first celebration with Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande, who was part of the song's composition and arrangement. "Sour Candy," on the other hand, is Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé's first-ever collaboration with Lady Gaga.

Forbes, earlier this year, pronounced BLACKPINK as the world's biggest girl group. Meanwhile, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé are currently preparing for their upcoming virtual concert on Jan. 31, 2021.
