ENHYPEN to Conduct Online and Offline Fan Meeting

Rookie group ENHYPEN will be kicking off their 2021 activities with their very first fan meeting, which will be held online and offline in early February.

On Monday, Jan. 11, ENHYPEN's management agency Belift Lab announced that the boy group would hold its first fan meeting "2021 ENHYPEN FANMEETING: EN-CONNECT" on two days, Feb. 6 and 7, through offline performances and online live streaming.

The company added that the offline event would have limited seating due to the seat-spacing guidelines that are part of the local government's preventive measures for COVID-19. Belift Lab also stated that in case offline performances would not be permitted in the future in accordance with the government's safety precautions, online live streaming of the fan meeting will only be conducted. As such, payments for tickets will be refunded fully.

Belift Lab also shared an announcement video through the official YouTube channel of ENHYPEN, featuring all seven band members. According to Jay, fans can look forward to the group's new aspects that they will show during the fan meeting. The members also expressed their excitement for their very first fan meet.

ENHYPEN was formed through Mnet's survival reality show called "I-LAND" in September 2020 and consists of seven members, namely Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Jake, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. The new K-pop boy group made its debut on Nov. 30 of the same year with the extended play titled "Border: Day One," which features the lead single "Given-Taken."

Even before ENHYPEN made its debut, the group gained a huge following on social media platforms, having more than one million followers simultaneously on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, V Live, and YouTube.

The band's debut was a success after the EP landed on the No. 2 position on the Gaon Album Chart, having sold a total of 318,528 copies in one day. It became the highest-selling album by a Korean act that debuted in 2020. ENHYPEN's "Border: Day One: also ranked high on the Oricon Albums Chart. In particular, it charted at No. 2 with more than 71,000 copies sold. Additionally, it topped the iTunes Top Album Chart in Japan with the EP. Meanwhile, the lead single "Given-Taken" ranked No. 1 on the real-time Japan Hot 100.

On top of that, the rookie group's debut EP entered several Billboard charts, specifically the Heatseekers Albums, World Album, and Top Current Album Sales charts. A total of three songs from the EP, including "Given-Taken," were on the "World Digital Song Sales" chart following their release. ENHYPEN was even charting on the Billboard's Emerging Artists chart.

Because of these impressive milestones, ENHYPEN received the "Next Leader" award at 2020 The Fact Music Awards. And recently, the band was one of the three winners of the "Best Rookie Artist" at the 35th Golden Disc Awards. The new boy group is currently nominated for the "Rookie of the Year," K-Wave Popularity Award," "Popularity Award" for the 30th Seoul Music Awards, which is set to be held this January.

ENHYPEN also got a nomination for the "New Artist of the Year - Physical (Album)" for the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards, which is scheduled to air on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
