In a poll conducted by Choeaedol that was held from Jan. 6 to Jan. 13, fans were asked to select which male idol they would want to build a snowman with. Out of the 138 male idols fans could select, BTS member V ranked at the top. Out of the total 106,729 votes, V garnered 37,654 votes.
Occupying all the top seven sits are the BTS members. Jimin ranks in second place, garnering 35,806 votes. Jungkook is in third place with 33,956 votes, Jin in fourth place with 32,123 votes, Suga in fifth place with 30,796 votes, J-Hope in sixth place with 30,051, and RM in seventh place with 28,065.
BTS member V, whose birthday falls on Dec. 30, has been dubbed the representative idol who was born in the winter. The idol has topped various winter-related idol polls, such as "Which idol suits winter coats the best?" on the global K-pop fandom platform, Whostan.

In the past, V has attracted attention for his beautiful self-composed song. In Aug. 2019, V released "Winter Bear", a winter-based song that went viral due to V's musical talent, as it was revealed the idol had to participate in writing and composing the song, as well as participated in the production of the music video. "Winter Bear" was released through SoundCloud and the music video was shared on BTS's official YouTube channel. Fellow BTS member RM and producers Hiss Noise and Adora helped V produce the track. Additionally, the cover art for "Winter Bear" was photographed himself under his pseudonym, Vante.
On March 13, 2020, V dropped the song "Sweet Night" as part of the soundtrack of the JTBC drama "Itaewon Class". The indie-pop song is sung entirely in English and was produced, written, and sung by V. The track earned positive reviews from music critics due to the song's composition and V's healing voice, and his warm lyrics. The song debuted at number 2 on the Billboard U.S. Digital Song Sales chart, making it the highest debut for a Korean soloist on the chart.
On Dec. 25, 2020, Christmas Day, V released the song "Snow Flower' featuring Peakboy. The song garnered an enthusiastic response from fans and music critics both in South Korea and overseas, with many loving the message of comfort. The song brought a sense of healing to those who are going through difficult times, with the song comparing these types of people to purple flowers blooming in the show.
