WINNER Kang Seung Yoon to Make His First Comeback with a Solo Studio Album

WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon will make his comeback as a solo artist with his very first studio album!

On Wednesday, Jan. 27, YG Entertainment announced that the male idol will be releasing his first full-length album in March. They added, "Currently, he has completed recording all the songs in the album and is preparing to record the music video for his title track next month."

Kang Seung Yoon started gearing up for his solo album after WINNER's full-group activities temporarily ceased due to the military enlistment of Kim Jin Woo and Lee Seung Hoon last year. It is said that he worked on his solo album in the midst of his busy schedule.

In particular, he has taken part in writing, composing, and producing all of the songs in his first solo studio album. Seung Yoon even participated in the production of the music video for his title track.

Kang's upcoming solo comeback was recently teased via WINNER's SNS accounts. Together with a photo that shows a silhouette of the male idol are several hashtags including "#KangSeungYoon," "#SEE_YOON_SOON," and "#202101_WEEK3." This will be his first comeback as a solo artist in eight years.

Premiered on Oct. 26, the drama is a "time-crossing fantasy thriller" that is about a man named Kim Seo Jin who falls into despair after his daughter gets kidnapped, and about a woman named Han Ae Ri who is looking for her missing mother and lives one month before the time Seo Jin is living in.
