ChoA Mental Health Issues: Ex-AOA Member Shockingly Did This During Hiatus + Comeback Details Revealed

Many fans were delighted when former AOA member ChoA finally made her comeback to the entertainment industry after almost three years of hiatus. However, coming along her return is her admission that she struggled with her mental health issues.

Ex-AOA Member ChoA Did This During Her Mental Health Struggles

On Monday, Feb. 15, ChoA appeared in an episode of "On & Off" of tvN, which is said to be her first-ever appearance since she stepped away from the limelight three years ago. In one portion of the show, the former AOA member said that she is a happy person but there was a point in her life that all the optimistic light in her just vanished and was replaced with sadness.

At the time, ChoA confessed she could not sleep and was always feeling tired. Since her agency has been helping her doing all the stuff she needs to do when she was still active in the entertainment industry, she had a hard time doing personal things by herself when she started her temporary break.

ChoA is, however, proud that she was forced to stand on her own feet and learned doing many things by herself, which include paying of bills, banking and even signing up for internet. The ex-AOA singer even divulged a shocking detail when she was still on a hiatus.

The "Like A Cat" singer said that she used a facial cleanser as a body wash when she was having mental health issues before. ChoA said she thought she needed to lighten her own skin since its contrast does not look pretty well with her bleached hair. When things exacerbated, the former AOA member washed her body with a cleansing foam while thinking that people do not like her at all.

Thankfully, ChoA was able to overcome her mental health issues, She, then, revealed on the "On & Off" show that she is feeling much better now than before.

ChoA Signed A Contract with A New Agency as She Finally Returns

Meanwhile, in Aug. 2020, former AOA member ChoA joined the Great M Entertainment, which former FNC Entertainment director Kim Young Sun founded. It can be recalled that the "Good Luck" songstress departed from her previous management in 2019 after her contract expired.

Also, it was in 2017 when ChoA decided to leave AOA due to her mental health issues. The South Korean singer claimed that she suffered from insomnia and depression at the time.

In an official press release, Great M Entertainment confirmed that ChoA is already a part of their long list of talents after she inked a contract with them. The management is honored and pleased to be working with the former AOA member, whom they described as someone with a diverse range of talents.

Great M Entertainment, then, asked the avid followers of ChoA to continue supporting her in her upcoming brand-new projects. The agency even added that it would do its best to promote and help the "Bing Bing" songstress in the newest chapter of her life.
