AfreecaTV BJ Proudly Admits to Bullying BTS V as Students
On Tuesday, Feb. 22, a user on an online community forum revealed that BTS member V was a victim of school bullying during his school days. In the article, an anecdote from an AfreeTV BJ, who is a fellow alumnus with the BTS's V, making rude remarks and sharing bullying stories on the broadcast.
During a broadcast, BJ A (name hidden for privacy) started sharing stories about him, BTS's V, and other school alumni. At the time, people were surprised at their relationship and had asked if they were close friends.
He then aggressively told his viewers, "I am not friends with that bastard, okay? Yeah, I might be a bit jealous of him now, but we are not friends. Let me tell you guys what our relationship was. We had a food chain relationship. I was the lion, and V was the bussy. It was just like a food chain relationship. Don't ever call me his friend. Damn, I should have just become a trainee as well. If only I was a trainee and trained so hard as my life depended on it, then I probably would have been more famous than that bastard. Too bad I did not do it and started up AfreeacaTV instead, where I get so much hate on. It really aches my heart a lot."
Before his outburst, he revealed that V and he had attended the same elementary school. He had accused V of going under the knife to change his appearance, saying, "He transformed so much after plastic surgery."
During the live stream, he also revealed that V used to be his "delivery boy" while in school. This statement has led people to believe that he had been one of the people who bullied the BTS member during his time as a student.
BTS V Recalls Being Bullied in His Youth
During a past V Live broadcast, V revealed that during his youth, he had almost lost all of his friends due to one student. One of his classmates was having a birthday party, but they did not tell them where the venue of the party was. V ended up wandering around with a gift in his hand for hours until he received a call from his peers, telling him where the venue was.
However, V arrived too late, so he just left the gift with the celebrant and went home straight after.
V cried a lot on his way home, feeling upset. "At that time, I think he was jealous that I was getting along with all of our friends. But some time after that, my classmate apologized," revealed the idol.
Due to the AfreecaTV BJ's remarks about V, many speculated that he was part of the birthday party prank. However, the broadcast jockey has denied those claims.
AfreecaTV BJ Apologizes for Rude Comments about V
As the ARMYs slammed the BJ for his insensitive, rude, and harmful words against the idol, he soon released an apology, claiming that he mentioned V as a prank and had a slip of the tongue. He apologized for how quickly the situation escalated and apologized to both his fans and the ARMYs who were offended by how he mentioned V's past without any evidence and made baseless accusations of V undergoing surgery.
He promised his viewers that this situation will not happen again. However, it is unlikely he will be able to receive unanimous forgiveness due to the backlash he got for his claims.
