BTS V, Suga, RM, IU, G-Dragon & More: These K-Pop Idols Aren't Just Performers as They Can Also Produce Songs
There is no doubt that more and more K-Pop idols have gained attention these past few years. As a matter of fact, several South Korean stars have been dominating audio streaming platform and music tallies as of this writing.
On Wednesday, Feb. 24, a survey result revealed the top K-Pop acts who can produce compose and write lyrics for their own songs. In other words, these idols do not just have exemplary abilities and stunning visuals as they are also perceived as to have amazing talents behind the scenes.
1. BTS V
It is not surprising that BTS member V topped the survey, after getting the most votes of 53,448, as he has been known for producing some of the group's most successful songs such as "Blue & Grey" and his solo track called "Winter Bear." Aside from being considered as one the K-Pop idols with the loveliest face in the industry, the "Life Goes On" singer also has a reputation for being a good performer and producer.
2. BTS member Suga
Through the years, Suga has been producing numerous songs for BTS. Some of his composed tracks are "We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2," "No More Dream," "I Like It," "Outro: Circle Room Cypher," "Path," "We On," "Coffee" and "If I Ruled the World" among others. He even wrote the song "eight," which is popularized by IU. The BTS member garnered a total of 38,614 votes.
3. Young Tak
Another artist who dominated the survey is Young Tak, who is a contract artist of Milagro Entertainment. The South Korean singer-songwriter is known for writing the songs like "Drink Makgeolli," "Kkhondae Latte," "You are Perfect," "Knock Knock Knock" and "Apartment" among others. He collected a total of 19,485 votes.
4. BTS RM
Well, RM was not chosen as the leader of the world's biggest boyband for nothing. Aside from being a good singer and dancer, the co-member of Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V and Suga was also known for co-writing the tracks such as "Winter Flower," "ON," "UGH," Moon," "Respect," "Life Goes On" and "Skit" among others. This idol got a total of 8,441 votes.
5. AB6IX member Daehwi
Most, if not all, fans are very much aware that AB6IX member Daehwi had been exposed to the ins-and-outs of music productions since he was young. His hard work paid off as he was, soon, tapped to become a song writer under the Brand New Music Entertainment. He got 6,932 votes.
6. IU
This female South Korean singer is, undeniably, one of the most popular musicians of her generation. Aside from her countless chart-topping songs, IU is also known for composing some of the most remarkable tracks that ever hit the radios and music stores, which include "Can't Love You Anymore," "Through the Night," "Dear Name," "Twenty-three," "The shower" and "FRIDAY." The songstress got a total of 2,774 votes.
7. NU'EST member Baekho
Aside from his striking visual, Baekho was also known for producing songs for NU'EST and other artists. Among the many songs he wrote are "BET BET," "Thanksful for You," "That day, We," "Don't Worry" and "Bastard." This idol got a total of 2,093 votes.
8. G-Dragon
The list would not be complete without this BIGBANG member. G-Dragon, who is recently rumored to be dating BLACKPINK Jennie, is known for penning some of the group's most popular tracks such as "Haru Haru," "Last Farewell" and "Lies." The singer got a total of 923 votes.
Other artists who got the most votes in the recent survey are Zico with 748 votes, (G)I-DLE member Soyeon with 522 votes, Pentagon's Hui with 426 votes, SEVENTEEN member Woozi with 347 votes, WINNER's Song Mino with 316 votes, Lee Chanhyuk of Akdong Muscians and Sunmi.
