SHINee, BTS, and More: K-Pop Radar Reveals The Top 10 Music Videos for Week 9 of 2021

On Tuesday, Mar. 2, K-Pop Radar released their weekly top 10 music videos ranking for the ninth week of 2021. Keep on reading to see who made K-Pop Radar's rankings this week!

SHINee Made it to the Top of K-Pop Radar

Following their much-anticipated comeback, SHINee's "Don't Call Me" music video ranked at number one, garnering 22.78 million views during the ninth week of 2021 (Feb. 21 to Feb. 27). The music video for "Don't Call Me" surpassed 10 million views in 34 hours after its release, boasting SHINee's unwavering popularity both in South Korea and internationally.

According to K-Pop Radar, SHINee received over 35 million YouTube views, with a majority of the views coming from the "Don't Call Me" music video. Among the viewers, South Korea was the biggest audience, counting for 12.5% of the views. India follows South Korea with 11.3%, Japan with 5%, Indonesia with 6.6%, and the United States with 6.2%.

In response to this, K-Pop Radar said, "SHINee are idols with a steady global fanbase even in their 14th year of debut. They made a spectacular comeback that their new release overshadows their long break as a group."

BTS Ranks Number Two on the K-Pop Radar List

Though "Dynamite" came out back in Aug. 2020, it shows no signs of leaving the top 10 list! BTS ranked second place with their music video for "Dynamite," which raked in over 14.33 million views during the ninth week of 2021. As of press time, "Dynamite" has over 880 million views on the platform.

"Dynamite" holds the record the biggest music video premiere on YouTube, having 3 million concurrent viewers at its peak. In just 20 minutes, "Dynamite" was able to surpass 10 million views. In 24 hours, BTS broke the record for the most-viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours, garnered 101.1 million views, and effectively breaking three Guinness World Records. It is also the fastest in YouTube history to surpass 200 million views, doing so in four and a half days.

Additionally, "Dynamite" is also the fastest music video to surpass 400 million views, doing so in 35 days. It is the fastest music video to surpass both 500 and 600 million views, doing so in 59 days and 85 days, respectively.
