SHINee Key's speech made fans emotional as he delivered his message to their member Jonghyun after winning first place on "M Countdown" with new title track, "Don't Call Me." 

"Prince of K-pop" SHINee won their second trophy for "Don't Call Me" on Mnet's "M Countdown," aired on March 4. Along with this, Key honored their beloved Jonghyun in their speech, making Shawols (SHINee's fan club) teary-eyed yet extremely happy.

SHINee Key Says "I love you" to Jonghyun, and That They Miss Him

The 700th episode of Mnet's "M Countdown" was broadcast, and incredibly, the 7th full album title track, "Don't Call Me" of SHINee topped the music show. Beating Kang Daniel's "PARANOIA" with 10,990 points, they became the group with the highest score in the music show this 2021, and became the second-highest score of all times, after the nine singers that achieved 11,000 points or perfect score.

As the K-pop group received their trophy, the members showed their grateful hearts and then Key said:

"We sincerely thank SHINee World for loving us more than anyone else. I really appreciate Lee Soo Man for working hard to make this album."

"We prepared an album after a long time, and thank you so much for loving it," he added.

He also expressed his affection for their fifth member Jonghyun, who is currently not with them physically, saying, "There's something I haven't said in a long time, and there's someone I miss so much these days... and there's still a huge empty space in us. I want to say that I really, really love you. Thank you."

Despite not mentioning the late idol's name, the message of the group members was properly conveyed, and Shawols were conveying how proud they are to the members.

Meanwhile, as Key seemed to break down, Taemin continued the speech, saying, "Thank you so much for SHINee World. Thank you so much, Lee Soo Man. More than anything, we worked hard with our members. It's been a while since we came out. Thank you for giving us a big award. I will work hard to prepare for the next album after receiving it as a better album."

Onew also briefly thanked fans while Minho, who wasn't able to say thanks to their fans, posted a message to his IG story saying, "Thank you to my members, Thank you Shawols, Thank you, We're really grateful."

Sunmi, ONF, SHINee: "M Countdown" Celebrates its 700th Episode

During the 700th episode of "M Countdown," Sunmi, ONF, Song Gain, N.Flying Lee Seunghyub, Golden Child, Cheetah, MCND, CIX, TRI.BE, and PIXY were present, led by SHINee who won their second trophy for their new title track.

The show attracted the attention of music fans, starting with the collaboration stage of Rain and Chungha.
