NU'EST Reportedly to Make an April Comeback + Pledis Entertainment Comments on the News

NU'EST's management agency has released an official statement regarding the group's comeback this year.

Pledis Entertainment Confirms NU'EST's April Comeback

According to an exclusive report from Daily Sports, NU'EST is currently working on a full album and is aiming to return after approximately one year since the release of their eighth extended play (EP) "The Nocturne," which came out in May last year.

Shortly after the report was published, the five-piece boy band's management agency, Pledis Entertainment, issued a statement, verifying that the group is, indeed, preparing a new full-length album, and that NU'EST will make a comeback in April. The upcoming work will mark the quintet's first full album after nearly seven years since "Re:BIRTH," which was dropped in July 2014.

It is said that NU'EST members are completely immersed in working on their new album. The group's forthcoming full-length album is expected to be composed of high-quality tracks. But ahead of NU'EST's comeback, the Pledis Entertainment boy group will be celebrating the ninth anniversary of their debut.

NU'EST to Celebrate Their Ninth Debut Anniversary with Fans

NU'EST members made their debut back in March 2012 and will be celebrating their ninth debut anniversary this year in style. On March 4, Pledis Entertainment shared a timetable of what content fans can expect from the five-piece boy band in the coming weeks. The event is advertised as "2021 Ha99y 9th anniversary to NU'EST" and the schedule is presented of what appears to be a café receipt.

The countdown to the group's ninth debut anniversary has started. According to the "9ood Café" timetable, NU'EST will drop individual images of the members, as well as short messages. The first photo featuring JR was revealed on March 6. The next pictures were uploaded the following days until March 9 and featured Baekho and Ren. The individual images of Aron and Minhyun are yet to be unveiled.

In the upcoming week, group pictures and a question-and-answer session are just some of the scheduled content prepared for L.O.Λ.E (NU'EST's fan club). While fans are excited and highly anticipate the celebration, some fans are trying to decipher the information of the schedule due to particular letters being replaced with the number "9."

NU'EST's 2012 Debut

In 2012, JR, Baekho, Aron, Ren, and Minhyun debuted on March 15 as a K-pop boy group called NU'EST, under Pledis Entertainment. The quintet released a single titled "Face." The band started to extend to the global market in the same year, conducting events in Japan, other parts of Asia, Australia, and the United States.

Since their debut, the quintet has been launching songs, EPs, and albums while the members challenge themselves on a variety of genres. NU'EST's main vocalist, Baekho, also serves as a songwriter of the band. Since 2015, he has been directly taking part in the creation of the group's albums. Some of the songs he took part in writing the lyrics are "Q is," "Canvas," "W, Here," "Happily Ever After," and "The Nocturne."
