[WATCH] Hyemin Returns as a Goddess in 'DIOSA' MV
Hyemin gears herself up to be one of this generation's goddesses in the empowering music video for her latest single, "DIOSA."
Taken from the Spanish word for "Goddess," Hyemin flexes her smooth yet powerful vocals in the Korean-language track running for a little over three minutes. Featuring her in a variety of colorful backgrounds, she is accompanied by a quartet of equally talented dancers, which she joins during the chorus.
Hyemin wrote the lyrics to "DIOSA," her latest comeback track, with the song produced by WET and mixed by sound engineer Andy Frenx.
About Hyemin
Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1995, the singer-songwriter and actress first began her career as a trainee before debuting in 2015 as a singer. Her first single, "Still I Love," remains a staple of South Korean radio stations and has been featured among its most popular music shows like Music Bank, Simply Kpop, and the M Countdown show. She also managed to appear in a number of Korean dramas and participated in various reality and entertainment programs in the country.
In 2018, however, shortly after a mini-concert in Madrid, Spain, she shared in an interview that she "completely fell in love with the people and the country itself."
Making a great decision in her career, she decided to return to the European nation and learn more, including speaking in Spanish. She adds that she also wanted to explore her music in a whole new environment and work with a diverse group of people.
She soon made her debut under Las Musas Music label with the 2019 digital single "Fate," making her the first K-pop artist to be based in Spain. She soon released her first full album, "HOPE," a seven-track project that includes four of her previously-released singles at that point, plus three new songs.
