On Friday, Mar. 12, K-Pop Radar released their "Monthly K-Pop Radar" chart for Feb. 2021. Included in the chart are the top five idols who grew the most in terms of Instagram followers. Keep on reading to learn more!
ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo is the Idol Who Gained the Most Instagram Followers in February 2021
Sitting at number one is ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo, who garnered 1,985,536 followers on Instagram in Feb. 2021 alone. As of press time, the idol-actor has 18.1 million followers on the platform.
On his Instagram, Cha Eun Woo shares behind-the-scenes photos from his drama filming and CF shoots, snapshots of his daily life, and his favorite photos from his photoshoots.
It is no secret that Cha Eun Woo is one of the most popular male idols on Instagram. In 2019, Cha Eun Woo snagged the "2019 Hot Instagrammer - Male" award at the K-pop Radar Year-End Chart.
Previously, in 2018, Cha Eun Woo was named GQ Korea's "Men of the Year." In 2019, the ASTRO member ranked seventh on the "Most Accumulated Points on Male Idol Brand Reputation" list with 44,178,474 points.
BLACKPINK Members Make up Four Spots of the Top Five
BLACKPINK member Jennie is the second idol who grew the most on Instagram for the month of Feb. In just one month, Jennie garnered 1,488,725 followers. As of the time of writing, Jennie has a whopping 41 million followers!
Jennie's Instagram account is full of photos from her photoshoots, selfies from her day-to-day life, and her amazing OOTDs!
In 2018, Jennie was named as the "Most Love Account of 2018" in South Korea by Instagram. She was given the title based on the number of views on her Instagram Stories and the number of likes she received on her Instagram posts.
Following Jennie is Lisa, who gained 1,286,541 followers in Feb. 2021 alone. As of the time of writing, Lisa has 47.7 million followers on her account. Like Jennie, Lisa also shares photos of her photoshoot, selfies, and occasionally snapshots of her photography. Lisa is the most-followed K-pop idol on Instagram, and she just keeps on growing!
After Lisa is Jisoo, who snagged 1,239,740 followers in Feb. 2021 alone. Jisoo currently has 37.1 million followers on the platform. Recently, Jisoo has been sharing photos of the food trucks she has received for her upcoming JTBC drama, "Snowdrop." The idol also boasts her beauty through selfies and photos of her outfit.
Jisoo is currently the fourth most-followed K-pop idol on the platform. Back in Jun. 2020, Jisoo started a craze on Instagram with her "dot style" make-up for "How You Like That." Her make-up sparked the hashtag #JisooMakeup.
Sitting at number five on the top five rankings is Rosé, who gained 1,174,303 followers in Feb. 2021. Currently, the BLACKPINK member has 36.9 million Instagram followers.
Recently, Rosé has been sharing videos and photos to promote her upcoming solo debut and the title track, "ON THE GROUND." The idol also shares photos of herself and her stunning fashion choices.
Rosé is the third-most followed Korean individual on Instagram.
