On Mar. 12, W Magazine shared a video of numerous A-list celebrities singing and reading out the lyrics of BTS's hit single, "Dynamite." In the description of the video, the publication takes notes that in 2020, BTS broke seven Guinness World Records with their song "Dynamite," including the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours. They also snagged the title of the biggest Spotify release of 2020, garnering 7,778,950 streams on the platform. "Dynamite" had also spent the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Social 50 Chart.

BTS's impact and the boy group's fan base, the ARMYs, inspired W Magazine because of the influence the boys have in not just music but in culture as a large.
