BTS Beats BLACKPINK, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 & More at 2021 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

BTS reigned supreme again! On Sunday, March 14, it was revealed that Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM and Suga brought home a total of three awards at the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Keep on reading to know more about the latest feat of the world's biggest boyband.

BTS Wins Big at 2021 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards

ARMYs were sent into a frenzy when Kenan Thompson, who is this year's master of ceremony, announced that BTS bagged multiple awards. The Big Hit Entertainment-formed group was named Favorite Music Group, beating OneRepublic, Maroon 5, Jonas Brothers, BLACKPINK and Black Eyed Peas.

BTS, who represented the continent of Asia, was also pronounced as the Favorite Global Music Star. Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM and Suga defeated David Guestta of Europe, Master KG of Africa, Savannah Clarke of Australia, Sebastian Yatra of Latin America and Taylor Swift of North America in the category.

If that is not enough, "Dynamite" by BTS was also proclaimed as the Favorite Song. This time, the South Korean boy group beat other chart-topping tracks such as "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd, "Cardigan" by Taylor Swift, "Wonder" by Shawn Mendes, "Toosie Slide" by Drake and "Yummy" by Justin Bieber.

Aside from BTS, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber were also big winners this year as they received the Favorite Music Collaboration award for their song called "Stuck with U." Ariana was also named as the Favorite Female Artist, defeating Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish and Beyoncé, while Justin was proclaimed the Favorite Male Artist, beating The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone and Drake.

Last year, BTS was also awarded as the Favorite Music Group. At the time, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM and Suga defeated The Chainsmokers, Panic! at the Disco, Maroon 5, Jonas Brothers and Fall Out Boy.

BTS Gives Stunning Performance for MusiCares Music

Meanwhile, BTS gave viewers a moving performance of their hit track titled "Dynamite." Jungkook proved how talented he is when he played the drums while singing with his bandmates at the charity event of Grammy Awards.

For starters, the MusiCares virtual concert aims to raise money to support music industry workers that lost their jobs because of the COVID-19 pandemic. BTS member J-Hope, in an interview with Los Angeles Times, revealed that the present health crisis has disrupted their plans, including their forthcoming tours.

The "Life Goes On" hitmaker added that normal things became impossible when the deadly coronavirus started taking over the world. BTS member J-Hope, then, shared that the pandemic has made him realize the importance of the things that he enjoys as a musician.

RM stated that he and his co-members participated in the MusiCares event as they wanted to help those who are still adjusting to the new normal. Be it finding new ways to set up performances like virtual concerts or creating music, the organization aims to smooth the transition period.

Aside from BTS, other artists who performed during the online event were Jonas Brothers, Paul McCartney, Usher, Lady Gaga, John Legend, Jhené Aiko, H.E.R., Haim, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty.
