EXO Baekhyun is set to make his highly-anticipated solo comeback today, March 30.

Prior to the official release of his new mini-album "Bambi," it was announced that "Bambi" has garnered 833,392 of pre-orders alone! Because of this, EXO Baekhyun is expected to become a "million seller" soloist again, or what is called "double million seller."

EXO Baekhyun Expected to Become a "Million Seller" with New Mini-Album "Bambi"

March 30 marks the solo comeback of EXO Baekhyun after almost a year since the release of his second mini-album "Delight" in May 2020. His new mini-album "Bambi" is scheduled for launch later today at 6:00 p.m. KST.

While Baekhyun has gained lots of fans all over the world for being a member of both supergroups EXO and SuperM, the male idol has also established a large fanbase as a solo artist, who continuously shows various sides of him through releases.

With this, it won't come as a surprise if EXO Baekhyun's albums attain hundreds of thousands of orders or pre-orders, which will eventually become a million and beyond.

One solid proof for this is the pre-orders for Baekhyun's new mini-album "Bambi."

On March 30, SM Entertainment announced that "Bambi" has exceeded 833,000 stock pre-orders as of March 29. The pre-orders began on March 11, which means it only took 18 days to reach that high amount of orders.

"Bambi" is now EXO Baekhyun's most pre-ordered album. On top of that, it has become the most pre-ordered album by a soloist in South Korean history.

These records were previously held by his second mini-album "Delight," which surpassed 732,297 stock pre-orders in May 2020.

The pre-orders are expected to increase before and after the "Bambi" mini-album officially drops today. Hence, it is predicted that EXO Baekhyun will become a "million seller" once again, and earns the title "double million seller."

Baekhyun earned the "million seller" title for the first time in June last year after his second mini-album "Delight" sold a total of 1,018,746 copies as of June 30. Because of this, the EXO member became the first soloist after 19 years to exceed a million copies in sales since Kim Gun Mo's seventh album in 2001.

In addition, Baekhyun is now the second artist to receive the "million seller" title both as a soloist and as a group after Seo Taiji of Seo Taiji and the Boys.

EXO earned the "million seller" title back in 2013 with their first full album "XOXO," reviving the physical market after 12 years of drought.

SM Entertainment acknowledged EXO Baekhyun's achievement and gave him a plaque of appreciation. Baekhyun is the very first solo artist in SME to attain this milestone.

EXO Baekhyun's Solo Comeback with "Bambi"

Meanwhile, Baekhyun's new mini-album "Bambi" contains a total of six songs including the title track of the same name.

"Bambi" is described as a groovy R&B song that unravels a mature love story with fairytale expressions. The music video for the single will be released via SM Entertainment's official YouTube and Naver TV channels at the same time.

Ahead of his official solo comeback, Baekhyun will hold a live broadcast via EXO's Naver V Live channel at 5:00 p.m. KST. He will be sharing a variety of stories with his fans.
