Former U-KISS Eli's Wife Reveals Pain of Being Notified of Divorce Through Phone + Narrates How & Why They Parted Ways
Ji Yeon Soo, ex-wife of former U-KISS Eli, also confessed the heavy feelings of pretending like they are the "best couple" prior to their divorce announcement.
On March 30, South Korea's "Race Queen" model Ji Yeon Soo, the former wife of Eli who appeared in SBS Kang Ho Dong's "Rice Heart," thanked those who sent her support messages along with the reason why he confessed his divorce story with Eli, a former U-Kiss.
She said, "I was careful to go on the air and talk. There were several broadcasts, but it was not an easy part to say, so I thought about it and decided to appear. I'm living with my son, so I'm on the show to help him make a living."
"When I became a single mom, doing my best as a mother every day became the first order rather than living a woman's life. I can't do anything good for my child, but I live as a mother who can do her best and give him the best love."
She went on by thanking everyone for cheering and crying together with her. Yeon Soo also shared a photo of her son, with a caption, " We will never break up."
Ji Yeon Soo Narrates How She and Former U-KISS Eli Divorced
In particular, the Korean celebrity who appeared on SBS Plus' "Kang Ho Dong's "Rice Heart" confessed that she was going on the show and living for a "show window" couple, despite the fact that she's lonely and going through a divorce. It is because they are a model couple and it is directly related to their source of income.
She expressed her fear of being caught, thus when they announced their divorce in November last year, she aimed for happiness.
Yeon Soo then narrated how they decided to part ways. According to her, "We didn't have any work in Korea, so we organize everything and live in the United States. I entered the U.S. in July last year, but I came to Korea alone because I didn't have enough documents to get my permanent (U.S ) residency, but I was notified of my divorce by phone the next day," she said while expressing how terrified she was.
Ji Yeon Soo added, "At first, I was very clingy. I want to get a divorce, but I missed my child so much because he was in America. I thought, "I would have made this decision because I didn't like it," but I wanted to give the child's father a grace period. I thought we'd wait for six months."
Eli, who has a dual-citizenship (Korean-American) initially proposed reuniting for their son, but due to their different views as well as the expiration of the idol's Korean citizenship, they decided to finish it off after she refused.

Ji Yeon Soo Suffers Aftermath After Divorce
Ji Yeon Soo confessed that she is currently living monthly rent and that she needs to live eight and a half years longer as a credit delinquent. Having even thought about extreme things, "I remembered the end of my life and even thought of extreme choices. I was standing on the 20th floor holding a railing."
But because of her son and mother, she was able to conquer her fears. She confessed that she was so happy now that she met her child again and was with him, which touched the hearts of viewers.
