NCT member Haechan is at the center of two trending online conversations after revealing his unexpected body weight and later becoming the subject of fresh dating rumours circulating across social media.

The concern began when Haechan casually told fans that he had stepped on a scale for the first time in a while and saw a number that surprised him.

"I weighed myself this morning for the first time in a long time, and it was 58kg," he said.

At around 174cm (5'7"), fans quickly calculated that his weight places him at a BMI of about 19.2, Koreaboo reported.

Many online users expressed concern, saying the number felt low for someone with a demanding idol schedule filled with rehearsals, performances, and travel.

Reactions spread quickly across fan communities. One user wrote, "I never knew that men could weigh in the 50kgs... Freaking SM, feed the kids more," reflecting the worry many fans felt about his health. Others joked about comparisons with girl group members or even their own weight, turning the topic into a mix of concern and light humor.

Haechan later reassured fans that he was surprised by the number himself and said he planned to eat better and take care of his health, easing some of the immediate worry.

Haechan Dating Rumours Spread Online

However, attention around the idol did not stop there. Soon after, Haechan also became the center of new dating rumours that began spreading through unverified online posts and reposted screenshots. The claims suggested he was allegedly involved with a non-celebrity, but no official confirmation has been made by SM Entertainment or the artist.

According to GulfNews, the speculation reportedly started after anonymous users shared supposed "evidence," including claims of matching accessories, overlapping schedules, and alleged sightings. None of the materials have been verified, and most originate from anonymous accounts or fan reposts, a common pattern seen in past celebrity rumours.

As the posts spread, fan reactions were divided. Many supporters defended Haechan, urging others not to spread unverified content and to respect his privacy. Others dismissed the rumours entirely, calling them fabricated and misleading.

The situation escalated further after SM Entertainment reiterated its stance on legal action against individuals spreading false information, defamation, and privacy violations targeting its artists.

The company also noted that multiple offenders have faced legal consequences in previous cases.
