Starship Entertainment announced the appearance of its six-member boy group on the Japanese music show, making a live performance on the special "WANTED" stage. The Buzz Rhythm 02 appearance marks the latest promotional activity for the lead track of their upcoming third Japanese studio album, announced for a May 2021 release.

"WANTED" is a song that demonstrates MONSTA X as they have been since they debuted - energetic, intense, and right now, wanted all over the world. The group's dedicated fanbase, MONBEBE, is expecting a special performance since their special stage on "Buzz Rhythm 02" marks the first time that the Japanese track is performed on a television show.

MONSTA X is currently a hit in the East Asian nation, dominating two of the Japanese singles charts shortly after its release. It ranked second in the Oricon weekly singles rankings for the chart dated March 8 to 14. On the other hand, "WANTED" sat at the second spot of the Tower Records Japan weekly singles chart for two consecutive weeks for the charts dated March 8 to 14 and March 15 to 21.

With "WANTED," MONSTA X maintains its third year of consistent performance in Japan. In 2020, the Starship Entertainment boy group topped Tower Records' "K-Pop Single Top 10 From the First Half of 2020" with their April 2020 single "Wish on the Same Sky," their seventh Japanese single. Back in 2019, they secured the top spot of the "K-Pop Single Top 10 From the First Half of 2019" with the song "Shoot Out."
