MelOn is the largest music subscription service in South Korea, with over 4-5 million users in the country as of 2018 and over 28 million users worldwide. With this, MelOn is one of the biggest indicators to show how popular a group is.
These are the most searched girl groups on MelOn for the month of Mar. 2021.
BLACKPINK is the Most Searched Girl Group on MelOn
In Mar. 2021, BLACKPINK was named the most searched girl group on MelOn, with over 640,263 searches for the girl group on the platform. Their most searched song on the platform is the title track of their first full-length studio album, "THE ALBUM," "Lovesick Girls." BLACKPINK was also the most searched girl group on MelOn in Feb. 2021.

"Lovesick Girls" was extremely popular for MelOn users. The song won the Weekly Popularity Award on the platform on Oct. 12, 2020, Jan. 11, 2021, and Jan. 18, 2021.
In other charts, "Lovesick Girls" debuted at number 28 on the Gaon Digital Chart and peaked at number two the following week. "Lovesick Girls" broke the records as the girl group song that spent the most weeks at the top ten of the Gaon Digital Chart, spending 18 weeks on the charts. The girls beat out TWICE's record for "Cheer Up" and Wonder Girls' record for "Tell Me."
Brave Girls is the Second Most Searched Girl Group on MelOn
Trailing after BLACKPINK is Brave Girls as the second most searched girl group on MelOn for Mar. 2021. In that month, Brave Girls was searched for 560,202 times.
Unsurprisingly, their most searched song in their 2017 release "Rollin'." This is the first time Brave Girls has ranked within the top 10 of the most searched girl groups on MelOn.

"Rollin'" saw a reverse run on the charts after a YouTube video that compiled performances of the girl's performance of the song edited with YouTube comments went viral. The song soon achieved a perfect all-kill, topping all the real-time charts in South Korea.
Currently, Brave Girls is the girl with the most perfect all-kills, beating out a record previously held by TWICE.
TWICE is the Third Most Searched Girl Group on MelOn
Claiming third place is the JYP Entertainment girl group TWICE, who was searched for 278,969 on MelOn in Mar. 2021. Their most searched song on the platform is their Oct. 2020 release, "I CAN'T STOP ME."
In Feb. 2021, TWICE was the second most searched girl group on MelOn, meaning they dropped down by one place.

TWICE bagged seven music show wins for "I CAN'T STOP ME," proving the song's popularity in South Korea.
In South Korea, the song peaked at number eight on the Gaon Digital Charts and at number five on the K-Pop Hot 100 charts.
In the United States, "I CAN'T STOP ME" peaked at number one on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales charts.
