BLACKPINK & BTS Dominate K-pop Radar's Monthly Social Charts + ATEEZ Reigns As 'Artist of the Month' for March

ATEEZ, BTS, EXO, BLACKPINK, NCT, and more recorded the most increase in views, subscribers, and followers in various SNS platforms on March 2021!

On April 9, K-pop Radar dropped their March rankings for various categories, including "Artist of the Month," "YouTube Viewcount Charts," "Hot Issues in March," and "Monthly Social Chart."

Among various K-pop groups, groups including BTS, BLACKPINK, ATEEZ, NCT, EXO, ASTRO, and many more topped the charts on their respective categories! In the same chart, ATEEZ, who kicked off with their new album last month, rose as March's "Artist of the Month."

ATEEZ once again proved that they are leading the new-gen K-pop idol as a "global trend idol" by increasing its SNS followers.

On March 1, ATEEZ dropped its sixth mini-album, "Zero: Fever Part 2," and its title track, "Fireworks (I'm the One)" MV surpassed 10 million views in just 47 hours, following 5 million views in 15 hours, upon the release. Aside from their MV view counts, ATEEZ also generated over 300,000 physical album copies on Hanteo, the first fourth-generation group to achieve the record this year.

In addition to their album sales, ATEEZ's official Twitter followers increased 113,000 over the past month, surpassing a cumulative of 2.17 million followers. For their Instagram followers, the septet already surpassed 4 million, while their YouTube channel's subscribers reached 2 million.

As such, ATEEZ has established itself as a fourth-generation representative idol, also referred to as "Super Rookies," by securing solid global recognition through active communication with fans even before its debut.

K-pop Radar then said, "Since the group was recognized abroad first by its performance, we are looking forward to seeing their performance through the appearance of Mnet's "Kingdom." They added, "The group has endless potential for future growth."

For Twitter, BTS earned the most followers' increase of 829,041, ranking No. 1. Trailing behind them is their brother group TXT, with 318,499 Twitter followers increase. EXO then came in third, wherein despite no promotion gained 287, 845 followers increase in March. It is expected to continuously rise following their upcoming comeback in commemoration of their 9th debut anniversary.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK ranked in fourth place with 292,777 followers, while all of the members dominated the Instagram Charts as Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo swept the rankings for first to fourth places, respectively.

For the fifth place in Twitter and Instagram categories, NCT and BTS completed the rankings in order.

In the "Hot Issue of the Month" category, news of congratulations from the group NCT (NCT) poured out. In addition to the news that NCT 127's YouTube subscribers exceeded 3 million, members Yuta and Taeyong's personal Instagram followers exceeded 5 million and 3 million, respectively.

As for ASTRO, who recently dropped a new album, initially experienced a heated response from fans after surpassing 3 million Twitter followers and sitting atop the rankings for most Fan café members increase in March.

Lastly, BLACKPINK Rosé's solo debut song "On The Ground" topped the YouTube view count chart this month with 127,558,525 views.
