ITZY Hits New Highest Ranking on the Spotify Global Top 200 Chart With 'Mafia in the Morning'
ITZY's new song "Mafia in the Morning" has earned the group their new highest ranking on the Spotify Global Top 200 chart, proving their increasing fame around the world.
The Global Top 200 chart of Spotify, the world's biggest music streaming service, is a daily list of the platform's 200 most-streamed songs by artists around the world.
ITZY Scores New Highest Position on the Spotify Global Top 200 Chart with "Mafia in the Morning"
On April 30, ITZY dropped their new album titled "GUESS WHO," which comprises a total of six songs, including the title track "Mafia in the Morning."
"Mafia in the Morning" was inspired by the famous game called Mafia. It is a powerful hip-hop song with a catchy dance-trap composition. It talks about secretly stealing someone's heart.

On the same day as the album release, the title track debuted at No. 79 on Spotify's Global Top 200 chart. With this, "Mafia in the Morning" is now ITZY's highest-charting song on the tally, surpassing their previous single "Not Shy," which only scored the No. 82 spot in August last year.
The quintet's new song went on to jump two spots on May 1 and claiming the No. 77 position on that day. On May 3, ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" maintained its position at No. 77 with a total of 1,121,143 global streams.
Meanwhile, the title track is sitting at No. 4 on the Spotify Top 200 chart in Korea with 7,981 streams. It is the highest-charting song by a K-pop girl group on the list. Also, it is one of the only two girl group tracks within the top 10, with the other one being "ASAP" by the rookie group STAYC that is currently at No. 7.
ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" Enters Korean Music Charts + "GUESS WHO" Lands on iTunes Charts
Aside from the Global Top 200 chart of Spotify, ITZY's new song "Mafia in the Morning" has also made it to several Korean music charts. As of May 3 at 2 p.m. KST, the title track is sitting at No. 1 on Bugs, No. 8 on Genie, No. 22 on FLO, and No. 43 on MelOn.

The "GUESS WHO" album of the JYP Entertainment girl group also entered numerous charts, both domestically and internationally. According to Hanteo Chart, ITZY's new album took first place for the daily rankings on April 30 and May 1. As of May 3, it has sold a total of 108,766 copies.
ITZY's "GUESS WHO" has also dominated the iTunes charts all over the world. It reigned as No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs chart in at least nine countries, including Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica.

On top of that, the band's comeback album ranked fourth on the worldwide iTunes Top Albums chart. Meanwhile, "Mafia in the Morning" claimed the No. 37 spot on the worldwide iTunes Top Songs chart as of May 2.
