ENHYPEN Tops Oricon Chart with New Highest First-Week Album Sales

ENHYPEN has debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon Chart with their comeback album!

On April 26, ENHYPEN dropped their second mini-album entitled "BORDER: CARNIVAL," marking their first comeback in the music scene. The album comes with six songs including "Drunk-Dazed" as the title track.

On May 4, Oricon Chart released the rankings of the weekly album chart for the week of April 26 to May 2. ENHYPEN came in first place with their new album "BORDER: CARNIVAL." This is the first time that the rookie group topped the weekly chart since their debut.

Previously, the "Given-Taken" singers recorded their highest ranking on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with their debut album "BORDER: DAY ONE." They claimed the second spot on the chart for the week of Nov. 30 to Dec. 6.

Aside from topping the Oricon Chart, ENHYPEN has also recorded their new highest first-week album sales in Japan. The HYBE artist has sold a total of 83,218 copies in the first seven days, far exceeding the record of 71,404 copies set by their debut album.

On the day the album was released, the "Drunk-Dazed" singers already took first place on the Oricon Daily Album Chart with an estimated sales of 70,527. This is another highest record for the new K-pop group in terms of first-day sales.

Their debut album "BORDER: DAY ONE," which snagged No. 1 on the daily chart dated Dec. 4 last year, only managed to sell estimated 58,903 copies. This goes to show the increasing interest of the Japanese fans on the HYBE artist.

ENHYPEN's Other Achievements with "BORDER: CARNIVAL" and "Drunk-Dazed"

ENHYPEN has been breaking their own records on domestic and international music charts with their comeback album "BORDER: CARNIVAL." On the Hanteo Chart, the album sales increased by more than 100,000 copies compared to the sales of their previous release. The rookie group was able to sell more than 300,000 copies, becoming the highest record among the album sales of the male group who made a comeback this year.

For the first time since debut, the septet reached the top of Hanteo Chart's weekly album rankings for the week of April 26 to May 2, as well as on Gaon Chart's weekly retail album for the week of April 25 to May 1.

ENHYPEN's comeback album also ranked No. 1 on iTunes charts in 27 countries including Brazil, Kazakhstan, Peru, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, and more.

Furthermore, "BORDER: CARNIVAL" has also reigned as No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales with 75,729 total copies, again beating their previous record. "BORDER: DAY ONE" only ranked second last year with 66,218 copies.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN's new song "Drunk-Dazed" is also doing well on music charts. On May 2, it took first place on the daily charts of Bugs for the first time. On May 4 as of 6 a.m. KST, the track topped the iTunes charts in 16 countries, significantly surpassing the count of No. 1s they attain with their debut song "Given-Taken."
