On May 17, SM Entertainment's new girl group aespa released a new digital single titled "Next Level." This song marks the band's first-ever comeback even though the song "Forever" was dropped beforehand. aespa's "Forever" is more of a winter special.

aespa's "Next Level" is a remake of the soundtrack from a popular movie series, the "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw." It stands out with groovy rap and powerful vocals of the members, Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning.
On the same day, the rookie group revealed the music video for their new single. Following its release, several keywords and hashtags related to aespa trended on Twitter worldwide. These include "#aespaNextLevelUnlocked," "#aespa_NextLevel_Let'sGo," "giselle," "ningning," "IGAB."
In addition to hits, the "Next Level" MV constantly set records on YouTube among SM music videos. In just five hours, the aespa's comeback song reached five million views.
After eight hours, aespa's "Next Level" hit 10 million views on YouTube, becoming the fastest music video of any SM artist to reach the milestone.
After five more hours, for a total of 13 hours, the music video for "Next Level" has reached 15 million views. It is the shortest time to attain the mark among SM music videos.

On May 18, aespa's "Next Level" has recorded more than 20 million views on YouTube. At 2:40 p.m. KST, the music video has hit 22.69 million views. Because of this, "Next Level" has become the fastest SM female MV to obtain the feat.
The MV is even the No. 1 most popular on YouTube Korea as of press time. Other than that, the "Next Level" MV is currently trending at No. 1 worldwide on YouTube. It is also trending at No. 1 in Thailand, No. 4 in Brazil, and No. 9 in the United States.
aespa Breaks Own 24-Hour-View Record on YouTube with "Next Level"
While SM Entertainment's new girl group has set a new record of the shortest time to reach 20 million views on YouTube among SM female music videos, aespa has also broken their own record.
In November last year, Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning made their debut with the release of their digital single "Black Mamba," along with a music video. Within the first 24 hours after release, the MV hit 21.4 million views, becoming the third-highest views within 24 hours among SM music videos.

On May 17 at 6 p.m. KST, aespa dropped the music video for "Next Level." Within 20 hours and 34 minutes, "Next Level" surpassed the 24-hour YouTube views of "Black Mamba" after reaching more than 22 million views.
As of writing, aespa's comeback single "Next Level" has surpassed 23 million views on YouTube.
