K-pop boy group 2AM might be having a reunion soon!
2AM is a four-member boy band made up of Jo Kwon, Lee Changmin, Lim Seulong, and Jeong Jinwoon. The quartet is one of the two subgroups from the eleven-member group One Day, the other one is 2PM.
One Day was formed by JYP Entertainment's own J.Y. Park and appeared on a documentary titled "Hot Blood," which was broadcasted on Mnet. The documentary showed the training program of the members (except for Changmin who has not yet joined JYP at that time) on their pre-debut days.
2AM debuted back in July 2008 and was under the management of JYP Entertainment and Big Hit Music (formerly Big Hit Entertainment). The quartet is more of a ballad group, while 2PM is a hip-hop band.
At present, members Jo Kwon, Changmin, Seulong, and Jinwoon are signed with different companies. Despite this, 2AM has not disbanded.
2AM Members are Currently Discussing a Potential Reunion
On May 20, CUBE Entertainment, Jo Kwon's current management agency, said to MK Sports that they are positively considering the promotion of 2AM's reunion.
This means CUBE will take part in the activities of the members during their reunion.
Additionally, 2AM members Lim Seulong and Jeong Jinwoon shared that they are currently having discussions, which would probably have a positive outcome.
2AM has been on hiatus for six years since 2015 when the members left JYP Entertainment and Big Hit one by one. The quartet became more inactive in the industry when members began their mandatory military service the following years - Seulong enlisted in 2017, Jo Kwon in 2018, and Jinwoon in 2019.
2AM Changmin, on the other hand, enlisted in the military before he made his debut. He completed his service in 2008.
Seulong was discharged in October 2019, while Jo Kwon in March last year. Meanwhile, Jinwoon completed his mandatory military service in October last year, together with SHINee Key and VIXX N.
