As Ju Hak Nyeon was leaving the room, he said, "Why am I being told to leave?" to which none of the members replied. Through that, fans who were watching the live began to believe that there was a dispute among The Boyz members. Later, articles regarding the controversy were published.

On May 21 at 3 AM KST, Ju Hak Nyeon and New held a V-Live in order to address the growing controversy personally.

Ju Hak Nyeon explained that the staff members who were watching the stream at the time messaged the members, saying how it didn't look good for five members to be on stream as the space was cramped, and had asked Ju Hak Nyeon to leave instead. As the message was sent through a group chat and Ju Hak Nyeon didn't read it, New showed the message instead.

Ju Hak Nyeon also added that he had to attend a private and individual schedule after. Hence, he couldn't stay on the live for long anyway. Ju Hak Nyeon left the session without much explanation as his schedule was private and hasn't been revealed to the public yet.

The two members also revealed that they were shocked about the controversy and that some fans think there is a dispute among the group. That's why they decided to hold a live at three in the morning in order to address and clarify what happened.
