BTS's "Butter" is the Most Popular Song on Genius Korea for May 2021

Ranking at number one is BTS's all-English single, "Butter." "Butter" was released on May 21, 2021, and is BTS's second English-language release. Member RM helped write the lyrics for the song.

"Butter" debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart on Jun. 5, making it BTS's fourth number-one hit in under nine months and their second English release to do so. BTS is the fastest artist to achieve four number-one hit singles since Justin Timberlake in 2006 and is the first group to accomplish this feat since the Jackson 5 in 1970.

"Butter" also landed at number one on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart with 32.2 million streams, 242,800 downloads, and 18.1 million radio airplay audiences within the first week of the song's release. "Butter" ranked at number four on the Streaming Songs Chart.

In South Korea, "Butter" entered the Gaon Digital Chart at number four and at number 35 on the Gaon Streaming Chart. However, it debuted at the top of the Gaon Download Chart.

ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" is the Second Most Popular Song on Genius Korea for May 2021

Ranking in second place is ITZY's latest release, "Mafia in the Morning." The song is the lead single of ITZY's fourth mini-album, "Guess Who," and was released on Apr. 30, 2021.

"Mafia in the Morning" peaked at number 11 on the Gaon Digital Chart. It is ITZY's fifth top-twenty single. Additionally, "Mafia in the Morning" entered the top five of the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, making it the JYP Entertainment girl group's third single to do so.

"Mafia in the Morning" peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. On the Billboard 200 chart, "Mafia in the Morning" peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, making it ITZY's highest entry on both Billboard charts. ITZY is the second K-pop girl group to chart on the Global chart more than once.
