New Boy Group to Debut under Brand New Music, Includes a Former X1 Member
On June 10, an official from Brand New Music stated that the company is preparing to launch their next K-pop boy group who will be targeting the global market. They plan on debuting the new idol group in the first half of next year and are now starting a full-fledged debut plan.
The upcoming act will be produced with Brand New Music's know-how. The group's concept, number of members, group name, worldview, and other details are scheduled to be released sequentially in the second half of this year.

It is also reported that some of the members of Brand New Music's new boy group have already been decided, and a dedicated team has been established to systematically manage the band.
In addition to this, the forthcoming act is said to be Brand New Music's first multi-group that will be composed of versatile and unique members, one of which is previously part of the project boy group X1, which was formed through Mnet's survival reality show "Produce X 101" in 2019.
This former X1 member is none other than Lee Eunsang. In the finale of Mnet's "Produce X 101," Eunsang received the "X" position, making him part of the debut lineup.
Nearly five months after their debut in August 2019, X1 disbanded in January 2020 following the voting manipulation scandal surrounding Mnet.
In August last year, former X1 member Eunsang made his solo debut with the single album, "Beautiful Scar." In October, he teamed up with his former X1 bandmate Kim Wooseok for the single "Memories."

Meanwhile, Brand New Music's new boy group will be the first one in three years since AB6IX's debut in May 2019. Additionally, the upcoming act will be the company's second active idol group.
In addition to AB6IX, Brand New Music is currently home to a trio called BDC and several duos such as Eluphant, As One, Miss $, and MXM. The agency also has many solo artists including Bumkey, Esna, Gree, Kanto, Hanhae (former member of Phantom), Verbal Jint, and more.

AB6IX Returns with Fourth Album "Mo' Complete: Have a Dream"
Meanwhile, Brand New Music's AB6IX made their comeback in April with the release of their fourth album "Mo' Complete: Have a Dream," which contains the title track, "CLOSE."

AB6IX's "CLOSE" is written and composed by Coach & Sendo, with group member Park Woojin penning the rap lyrics. The song is reminiscent of the quartet's debut song "BREATHE" and conveys the message of trusting oneself as it will always lead us to the right path.
For the 18th week of 2021, AB6IX's "CLOSE" ranked second on Gaon Download Chart and entered at No. 48 on the Gaon BGM Chart. The track also debuted at No. 57 on Gaon Digital Chart with 7,353,157 points.
