[Exclusive Interview] OMEGA X Shares Thoughts on Their Debut, Writing Songs, Dancing, and More!
OMEGA X, who is set to make their debut this June, recently talked to KpopStarz and touched on various topics, including their debut, writing songs, dancing, and more.
OMEGA X Touches on Their Debut, Penning Own Songs, Dancing, Positions, and More!
All 11 members of OMEGA X are previously part of disbanded boy groups or survival shows.
Among the members, Taedong was part of a pre-debut group, called GIDONGDAE, and joined Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 2."
When asked how he feels now that he is about to debut, OMEGA X Taedong said, "It feels like a dream to be able to make an official debut, and I feel like I'm being compensated for the time I've had."
Taedong added that he can now repay the people who have waited for his debut and that the happiness he's feeling now cannot be expressed in words.

Like other idol groups, OMEGA X also has members who are into writing songs: Jaehan and Xen. KpopStarz asked these two artists to share what kind of songs they would like to write.
OMEGA X Jaehan answered that he wants to tell a story that all the members can relate to and communicate with the fans.
As for Xen, he said that when he makes songs, the inspiration comes from many places. His example was if he would like a phrase from an advertisement, he would make it into a song.
Besides writing songs, OMEGA X answered questions related to dancing.
When asked if he participated in the choreography of OMEGA X, Junghoon shared that while he created some of the dance routines, staged, and filmed them, all members choreographed the dance for their debut trailer.
In connection to dancing, KpopStarz asked Jehyun, whose favorite dance style is urban, to explain why this kind of style makes him feel confident.
OMEGA X Jehyun responded that when he dances to urban style, he feels more immersed in the atmosphere and mood it gives off.
When it comes to OMEGA X members' positions, which they actually don't have, KpopStarz asked Hyuk what position he is most comfortable in.
OMEGA X Hyuk said that if he had to choose between dancing and singing rap, he would prefer dancing.
KpopStarz later asked Hangyeom, who is the former Seven O'Clock leader, to share any know-how or tips when maintaining the unity and harmony of the members.
OMEGA X Hangyeom said that he would try to listen to the opinions of the members and keep a comfortable atmosphere. He added that he would talk about an issue with their eldest member Jaehan, who would later discuss it with the 10 members.
Meanwhile, OMEGA X is set to debut on June 30 with their first mini-album, "VAMOS."

What motivated you to use your real name? (for Junghoon)
"I've been using my stage name before, so I always get embarrassed to write my real name."
In your previous activities, you used your real name, Jinwoo. How did you come up with your OMEGA X debut name "Kevin"? (for Kevin)
"It was created by our CEO, and it comes from the movie "Home Alone." The main character is a boy named Kevin. He said that the character reminded him of me."
You were the youngest member of SNUPER, but now you belong to the hyung line in Omega X. What do you think is the difference between what you were the youngest and what can you show to the fans now? (for Sebin)
"As the youngest, there is nothing difficult. The hyungs are all so good, so I am doing well with my fellow OMEGA X members."
Prior to your debut, you participated in the survival reality show Under Nineteen. As an Omega X member, did you learn anything from Under Nineteen that you still keep in your heart? (for Yechan)
"Before, I made a stage with about 10 members in the Under Nineteen contest. Now, I practice or live with my fellow Omega X members. Even though there are a lot of people, the process of being considerate and matching each other was not difficult."
We heard that you're good at playing drums. Besides becoming part of an idol group, would you also want to debut in a rock band like that of DAY6 and CNBLUE? Why? (for Hwichan)
"At one time my dream was to be a band like the Beatles. Drums are an instrument that taught me many things in my life. If the opportunity arises, I have the desire to try again."
Something I've always wanted to do/try:
Yechan: Travel and make a song with the feelings from the trip
Taedong: Dance and sing on a big stage with the members. Get a bartending license
Xen: Show everyone a new side of myself
Hyuk: Collaborate with other idol groups
Hangyeom: What I've always wanted was to perform a powerful hip-hop song, and I'm so grateful for my agency for making it happen. I'd love to make more music and sing for the fans at a small concert.
Hwichan: Perform a concert on stage
Kevin: Solo concert with fans and members
Junghoon: Hip-hop concept
Sebin: Visit different countries and appear on variety shows
Jaehyun: Perform on a lot of different stages including Omega X concerts for fans
Jaehan: Perform on stage with members, and sing with fans at a concert
Any most prized possession?
Yechan: The MacBook my parents got me. I use it to compose music
Taedong: Everything within reach while I'm lying in bed
Xen: Myself, because I need to be healthy and well to repay the people who love me
Hyuk: I think my most prized possession is my cell phone
Hangyeom: Cell phone, clothes, shoes, hats, and my MacBook
Hwichan: Cell phone
Kevin: My attachment blanket that I've been using since I was little!
Junghoon: My fans who love me, my family, and the people around me
