New ONF Album Reaches No. 1 on iTunes in 15 Countries
It was worth the wait for ONF and their fans, as their latest studio effort, "POPPING," reaches the apex of iTunes Charts in over fifteen countries.
ONF's Summer Pop-up Album Becomes iTunes Success
Almost immediately after its release, their new summer smash reportedly hit the No. 1 spot on iTunes Worldwide Album Chart in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, and Australia. At the iTunes Top Album Charts, the album reached the top spot in 17 nations, including the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.
The title track "Popping" was a success of its own, as it topped the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart in 8 countries and the K-Pop Song Chart in 7 countries.

ONF Releases Summer-Themed Mini-Album 'POPPING'
"Popping" marks ONF's first studio release since last April and their first EP/mini-album since 2020's Spin-Off. Its six tracks thematically center themselves on the summer season. As with their previous recordings, Monotree's Hwang Hyeon produced and composed the song and its accompanying tracks. In the album, the group wishes to explore and reflect the different moods and experiences of the season, according to a recent interview with Emily Vogel of WrapWomen.
Fan anticipation was high since last July when their record company WM Entertainment first announced the project on the band's SNS Channel and other online media platforms. Among the promotional tools was a highlight medley of the album tracks, posted on YouTube last August 4.
A music video was also released yesterday, August 9, and features the group enjoying different summer activities such as golf, basketball, and water gunfights. It also presents the members exploring and adventuring on imaginary worlds, including an intergalactic battle and a mysterious, ice-covered planet. As of this article's publishing, the video has raked over 10 million views on YouTube and counting.

The boy band was first formed in 2017 with their debut EP ON/OFF and composed of Hyojin, E-Tion, J-Us, Wyatt, MK, and U. They were WM Entertainment's first idol group in more than two years.
Other releases such as You Complete Me, We Must Love, Go Live, and Spin-Off soon followed. All of which entered the top ten of Gaon Album Chart while the latter two placed into the top 40 of Japan's Oricon Albums Chart.
Their steady climb to mainstream success soon paid off, especially this 2021. The group released their first full-length LP ONF: My Name with its lead single "Beautiful Beautiful." The group then competed in SBS MTV's "The Show," where they achieved their first-ever victory in a music show for their performance of the said single. As a result, "Beautiful Beautiful" became their first top-ten hit at the Gaon Music Chart, peaking at number 7. They followed it up with a reissue of the album City of ONF, containing the single "Ugly Dance," which debuted at the top of the Gaon Download Chart.
