BTS' '2020 Map of The Soul' Global Tour Gets Postponed Due to COVID-19

BTS' Agency, Big Hit Music, has now officially confirmed the cancellation of all dates for BTS' "2020 Map of the Soul" global tour. It has been postponed before because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On August 20, the agency said that because of changing circumstances beyond everyone's control. It has been difficult to resume the performances at the similar scale and timeline as what is previously planned. Therefore they are announcing the cancellation of the "BTS Map of the Soul Tour."

The agency added that they made a lot of effort to resume the performance to meet the long wait of the fans for "BTS Map of the Soul Tour," however, due to major changes, it is difficult to resume the performance on the similar scale and schedule as the concert planned for the show, that is why the tour has been cancelled.

The agency continued, that the tour's concerts in Seoul have been cancelled in February 2020, after the postponement of the North American leg in March. The dates in Europe and Japan have been postponed before the start of ticket sales in the mentioned regions. The agency regrets that they are formally cancelling the tour. As for the fans who have already reserved tickets for the shows in North America, they will receive an email from their original point of purchase about the funds.

BTS was scheduled earlier to hold the "BTS Map of the Soul Tour" in US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany, and Spain, beginning with the Seoul concert in April last year. The Seoul and US performances had successfully completed the ticket opening. However, the schedule was temporarily suspended because of the seriousness of the pandemic.

Big Hit Music finally assured the fans that they were currently working on a continuous schedule and performance format that could meet the expectations of the fans. Updates will be provided as soon as possible.

Will BTS postpone their other plans?

Last August 18, the organizers of "The Fact Music Awards" announced that BTS confirmed their participation in the "2021 The Fact Music Awards" that will be held on October 2.

BTS, the Korean Boy Group who proved that they are a unique group that has a different class through the grand prize for three consecutive years at "The Fact Music Awards," will participate in the "2021 The fact Music Awards" and then will compete for the extraordinary four grand prizes.

The "2021 The Fact Music Awards" will be held online on October 2 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to ensure the safety of all the cast members, staff and the fans.
